IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL! First you have to click through 5 so pages to confirm that "you understood", then you need to fill in a form with tons of required fields to explain yourself to cancel but this is not the worst part! After all these busy work they ask you to SEND AN EMAIL to cancel. Do not pity this type of scammy practices. Given how difficult they made their process, if they fail to respond in time and do another charge, do an IMMEDIATE CHARGEBACK. This is precisely the type of business that needs to be out of payment networks, if they are not making it as easy to cancel as they take your money.

Signed up for free trial in 2024 and subsequently cancelled my trial. Last month I was suddenly charged for subscription from the period of July - Aug 2025??? Worst part is there’s no way to access your Mindgrasp account to delete your info or unsubscribe (which I technically already did), you’ll just be stuck on the paywall screen. Emailed “customer service” four times and emailed some of their employees’ direct company emails politely asking for help to refund, to no reply. Finally filed a dispute and changed my bank card. Writing this review today because I just got an email that they tried charging my (now non-existent) card AGAIN. So clearly they’re aware that they’re charging random users willy-nilly. I guess their employees are just trying to make a quick buck. They still have the audacity to continue recruiting on LinkedIn too. Though it seems they are suddenly ramping up their fraudulent activities after a year?? Because I’m starting to receive marketing emails that I never used to before. This is happening to a bunch of old Mindgrasp users on Reddit too. Anyway, I contacted my bank and lawyer and the University of Maryland, which seems to be where their founders and most of the employees (basically just a bunch of university kids running the scam), will update if I hear back.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I briefly made an account back in 2023, and cancelled. And all of a sudden, TWO YEARS LATER, they've randomly started charging my card?! Twice in one month! And I'm also getting all their newsletter emails too like I've just signed up. It's crazy. I have emailed them four times so far in the last 3 weeks with no response. I also just said in my most recent email that I will not stop emailing until they fix this, and I will also leave bad reviews everywhere so other people know to be aware of what a scam their company is. Totally shady and fraudulent. I just don't get how someone who works there must've gone through a list of prior customers and decided to start charging them again for nothing?! Surely this is illegal.

Awful company I have not used there services for over a year and have charged me this month and they do not reply to emails when you mention they took an unauthorised payment. I will be making a dispute to my bank to get this payment refunded and the company blocked as it is the second time this month they have done this. Please don’t use their services better to just stick with Chat GPT or Co Pilot Nina.

I am reporting a serious and ongoing billing issue. I canceled my account on February 18, and I have email confirmation proving the cancellation. Despite this, the company has been attempting to charge my payment method every 3 days since December 9 up to today. I was never informed of any outstanding balance at the time of cancellation, nor was any invoice or payment failure notice properly communicated. Repeated charge attempts after a confirmed cancellation, without transparent billing records, are unacceptable and raise serious concerns about the company’s billing practices and compliance with consumer protection standards. I am sharing this experience to warn other users and to request immediate clarification and accountability from the company.

I signed up for a trial thinking it was a standard service, but Mindgrasp has the most anti-consumer terms I’ve ever seen. The biggest red flag: Their Terms of Use (Section 11) actually BANS residents of California and New York from using the service. Why? Because those states have strong laws that would force them to offer easy, one-click cancellations. Instead, Mindgrasp forces you to email support and wait up to 7 business days to 'process' a cancellation—all while they keep your card on file and maintain a 'no refunds' policy. They also claim a 'perpetual and irrevocable' license to any notes or files you upload. If you are a student or professional who cares about your intellectual property or your right to a simple cancellation, stay away. There are much better, more ethical AI tools out there that don't treat their users like hostages. UPDATE 22.12.2025: After posting this, Mindgrasp reached out to me directly. They confirmed my data erasure and a 'refund' (which I had already secured by blocking them through my bank). Notably, they also offered me a $50 gift card on the condition that I remove this review. I am keeping this review at 1 star and refusing the gift card. I want to warn others that a 'resolution' offered only in exchange for deleting a negative review is not a sign of good customer service—it is an attempt to buy silence. The predatory terms in their contract (like the manual email-only cancellation and geographic bans) remain a trap for most users. A company that only respects your rights when publicly pressured is not one to be trusted. Stay away.

This is a scam I tried to cancel my subscription before the three day trail and they never canceled it. They charged me 189$ and I have been emailing them for about 2 weeks just to cancel my subscription but still no response. Do Not Sign Up for free trial!

These guys are scammers. I cancelled their service more than a year ago and they are charging my card all in sudden. When you login to their page and try to cancel your service, they will redirect you to their plans and will never allow you to do so. I’ve sent them multiple emails and never got a reply for more than 14 days. Never subscribe to their service unless u got a disposable digital card
