Have used a grass trimmer despite the string that came with the product being twisted in the spool. I had to re-string it. But today was filled with problems. I changed the trimmer with the edger. These are supposed to be interchangeable parts. The edger failed to keep spinning once I used it. I ensured it was secure at the bolt, but it would not work. When I went to put the trimmer back on, the Quik release button was in the down position and caused the edger to be stuck. The edging attachment could not be removed. I had my wife and a neighbor look at it in case I wasn't doing something right. They found the same problem - the attachment would not come off. I contacted the local Home Depot store, where I purchased it. I was hoping someone could look at it. Nope! They refused! They said I had to take it to a repair shop and expected to pay for any repairs.....along with a possible service charge. Nice.....NOT!! So, I'm stuck with a couple of hundred dollars in equipment that doesn't work and will cost me that much to have it repaired. Even then, will that edger even work? The Milwaukee brand name was supposed to be a good name. Guess not! I do not recommend any Milwaukee product.

They dont warranty the batteries if your serial number is worn off. I take pictures of my serial because stuff gets worn out in the field. But when it goes bad they say you can pay x amount. What good is a 5 year warranty wheb they know chances are they wont have to honor them.

Milwaukee tools made some great products in 2013-2014. Before this, not so much.. After this, definitely not.. I run a plumbing company and can tell you by my experience and many others who don't care to write reviews, or warn others, we've moved to Bosch and Makita tools. There warranty service is a joke. Basically, everything is user error and nothing is covered unless it's screamingly obvious. There impact driver couldn't bust a nut on a seized pump, and i took it in to have it looked at. They wanted to replace the housing at my expense and told me if the tool isn't getting enough power it's because it was abused. 6 months later there was a re-call on the tool and I had a brand new one sent. Hackzalls, Vacuums, Drills, anything to do with QuickLok, you will have problems at some point. As someone who has over 15 milwaukee M18 tools, as well as the radios and all the accessories.. I'm absolutely pissed that I wasted my personal and business money on these garbage new tools they're pumping out. The M12 copper cutters are a joke. At first the tool was amazing.. Then the wheel got worn out. So i replaced it.. Suddenly it doesn't cut as well anymore.. It turns out the wheel isn't what got dull, but the mechanism that tightens around the copper pipe had weakened. $110 to replace that part despite being under the 5 year warranty. Service Centre said it was abused.. I can send pictures of how brand new and scratchless this tool looks, but apparently I dropped it. Brand new milwaukee? Stay away from this garbage..

I returned a corded angle grinder that didnt work out of the box for warranty. The warranty was denied because the tech said it had worn brushes. The grinder was never started because it would not turn on. If the brushes were actually worn the manufacturer must be selling used or returned tools labeled as new.
