Brought in my laptop for a memory upgrade; was in perfect working order as Staples Computer tech had recently (3 days earlier) performed scan; it took 6 weeks to get my laptop back, when I called no one knew the status or ever called me back. Had to agree to a mother board upgrade ($$$) just to get my laptop back !!...NEVER, EVER use this company!!

Mirco Center service is passive aggressive. Imagine being in customer service and being called this. Horrible experience. Thinking of just buying new and leaving MC Service where they belong. Horrible experience. A one timer for me. Life too short to deal with these people.

I find the MicroCenter policy of walking items to the front counter by a store agent, and the reason give was to prevent theft a bit much. I am a mature women (where was I going to run???), responsible and not a trying to steal anything out of Micro Center stores. I had a MicroCenter store card, but as of 10 minutes ago, I closed it and will not further do business with Micro Center. Stop putting honest customers in the same bag as thieves. Stop. Understand, I refuse to continue to support a company that does not treat me with the respect due! Your sales guys are dishonest, and members of management are questionable in capacity. I asked to see the label of an item I desired to purchase, and the sales agent and manager of sales behaved awful and refused and not allow me to view the box label to ensure we had to correct item. The events thereafter - well ... Suggestion: I would place a register in the back were the items can be rung up. And mostly, if I can not ensure that the item your sales guy got from the back room or lock-up cab is what I am seeking (The Label Specs) then you keep your items, and I will take my hard earn dollars elsewhere!!! AMAZON or elsewhere.

I bought my first build from them around late 2022-early 2023 because I wanted a gaming pc. i specifically told them the type of games I wanted it to be able to run (Detroit, Fallout 4, Fortnite, etc). I was assured that with the build they set up for me, I would be able to run these more demanding types of games. First day i downloaded Detroit to test - didn’t even open on launch. I couldn’t afford to do much about it at the time but eventually went back in near the end of 2023 and told them it wasn’t running what I wanted. They ended up telling me I couldn’t just swap out the parts in the current build I had, so instead they created me a list of parts so I could build a new setup from scratch. This was frustrating but at the time I did enjoy putting it together myself and the new case allowed me much more room for improvements down the line. The PSU they sold me was DOA and upon going back to return it, they upsold me a new one saying that it was a better idea to upgrade with the rest of the parts I had. This was also obviously very frustrating considering they’re the ones who put the original PSU in my part list. After the rebuild, I was able to get Detroit to actually launch but playing was like flipping through a choppy paper animation. Super stuttery and despite somehow making it through a decent chunk of the game, it eventually just crashed my whole computer at the same exact chapter each time. I ended up upgrading my GPU from AMD to Nvidia at the advice of my friends who are experienced in gaming PCs. When buying, I confirmed with the customer service team that this would fit my PC and I wouldn’t need anything else upgraded. Still, the games weren’t running properly. Went back and upgraded my CPU to better fit the new GPU since there was a clear issue showing up in my testing program with the compatibility. I was again assured by the rep I spoke with that it would run the games I wanted with the parts I already had in my build if I just updated the CPU. This time the game ran a bit better, didn’t crash but it still lagged like crazy. Went back AGAIN and finally they tell me my CPU is faulty but sell me a new bundle deal to upgrade my RAM, Motherboard, and CPU. I was never told any of these things were an issue until I paid them $50. Again they assured me multiple times before this that yes- the build they sold me in the beginning would definitely run the games I’m looking for and continued to stand on this while I upgraded each part one by one. I go home again, don’t have screws for the new motherboard to install into my case. I again had to go back and pay for more screws because for whatever reason they don’t come with the new parts they sold me and I was never told that the ones I previously had installed were incompatible. I’ve sunk over 2k into this computer over about 2 years just to get it to work the way they told me it would in the beginning. They also charged me for a free consultation. Only $0.01, but ouch - it was just adding salt to the wound. I don’t make a big salary, so it’s been an excruciating long money drain working with them. I hate this place with a burning rage but it’s the only local store that has what I need. They are the ones who sold me my initial build so the only reason I go back is to get them to clean up their own mess. If I get my PC back and it actually works, it will be the last time I ever step foot in there. Customer service is complete garbage and their techs at the sales desk don’t know jack about what they’re selling you. They’d gladly charge you just to go inside if they could. Probably ask you for a tip while they’re at it.

Just a little back story, I am not familiar with any products as far as building a PC. My boyfriend wanted a specific bundle that they did not have which once fine but I received no initial help I had to search far and long for someone to help me and when I found someone he wasn’t helpful and decided in the middle of the conversation he wanted to sit down and not give the proper customer service.

Terrible customer service. Have had my computer for over a week with no information or anything determining the issue. No in store number to contact anyone. I have to text a number to get anything of updates and the updates are “wait longer or come get a refund and pick it up” just absolutely useless human beings.

No Customer service. I've had better by insurance companies. They can't even get online orders correct. Managers blow customers off.
