Management has not yet caught up.
I went to the Micro Center in Dallas looking for a multimedia monitor. After being forced to stand around waiting for someone to call my number I told the salesman that I was looking for a 24" Multimedia Monitor with a mic and camera. He then told me that I would have to buy a completely new computer to get one. Their cheapest multimedia computer was almost a thousand dollars. He stated that they did not sell them because there was no demand for them. I have a 5 year old Dell PC on my desk that has a mic and a camera in it. I use it for watching movies at night. The processor is too slow to use it for work during the day. I'm not sure that I buy the excuse that there is no demand for them. I then stated to him that Micro Center must not be aware of how many kids are having to do their school work on a computer through ZOOM which would require a multimedia monitor. NO wonder Micro Center has such a negative rating. They are like a lot of companies. They stock what they think customers should want. Not what they are actually looking for. I guess that it has not dawned on them yet that business people are doing more and more Zoom meetings that will require a multimedia monitor. A large percentage of people are now working out of their homes on a permanent basis. This will also require a multimedia monitor. If they have a clone computer they like. All they will need is a multimedia monitor to be up to date. While I was standing around waiting to be waited on. I heard sales people tell two other customers the exact same thing about different products. I am referring to Micro not carrying something that a customer was looking for. I ended up having to buy one off of Amazon even though I really did not want to. But I got a name brand monitor for less than $300.00.
