In store service is trash! A guy at the store on 51st and Telegraph told me the phone I was trying to buy was discontinued. A guy in the San Leandro store tried to charge me $330 for a for a $250 dollar phone.
If you need anything from Metro, your best bet is to call in and handling whatever you need done with them.
I tried calling directly to the store on Park Blvd in Oakland several times and got no answer. I drove to the store and the kid is watching videos on his phone. I wasted gas when he could have answered and told me they didn't have the device on hand!

Metro by mobile is committing fraud…
Metro by mobile is committing fraud against customer. I paid a bill last month after lowering my bill. Now they are trying to tell me I owe them an additional 37.50 which makes my bill almost 100$ after I paid a bill and didn't have a phone for 3 weeks. I went and bought a phone from someone else and had to pay an additional 25 to activate it now they want and additional 100 to hell with them. Then they get smart with you like they don't know the law. I will also be filing a complaint with the cfpb.

After being a customer for over 10…
After being a customer for over 10 years to have them do this...I'm still sick to my stomach about it.
Paid my bill as a guest and even paid $5 over to cover the extension they gave me. When service wasn't restored I went I to store to figure out why. Was told my account has been closed, my number given to someone else and the money had been applied towards someone else bill. But if Zi wanted to open a new account and pay all the fees I might be eligible to have the funds applied to that new account. I said "No, I would like a refund please." They said "No, get it from your bank." Which was not only insulting it was dismissing the principal of what they did and it then became about the transaction and of course it was denied. Now they want me to pay more money to release my phone which I did not buy thru them and which I had already paid over the amount but they applied to someone else's bill.
They knew exactly what they were doing by not requiring a name and only the phone # to make sure the payment goes to the right account. They are protecting their own interest and don't care about whether it's the right thing to do.
And to tell me pretty much "F you get it from your bank" knowing full well they not only just took my money and applied it to someone else's account, they also wasted my time which has more value than the money they took and are now holding my phone hostage.

Biggotted
Biggotted, hustlers, cyber crooks, IT crooks, overpriced for absolutely nothing of value. Staff is completely unhelpful. And there network smells like dog crap. And I’m learning all there phones aren’t legit but knock offs. (Apple iPhones)

Extremely disappointing customer…
Extremely disappointing customer service experience with Metro.
As a disabled veteran, I called Metro Customer Service because I was having an issue transferring my existing service to a new phone. Instead of receiving helpful guidance or reasonable options, I felt completely patronized and dismissed throughout the interaction.
The representative was extremely difficult to understand, and the overall tone came across as rude, passive-aggressive, and condescending. Rather than taking the time to understand my situation and work with me toward a solution, I was given no meaningful options.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated experience. Every time I have to contact Metro Customer Service, resolving even a relatively simple issue becomes unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming. I repeatedly find myself having to go into a physical store because the issue cannot be properly resolved over the phone.
Then, when I go into the store, I am charged a fee to get the problem resolved.
That creates a very frustrating customer experience: I spend a significant amount of time trying to get help over the phone, receive poor customer service and no resolution, and then have to spend additional money traveling to a store and potentially pay another fee just to accomplish what should have been handled through customer service in the first place.
I understand that not every technical issue can be resolved immediately. What I expect, however, is respect, patience, clear communication, and an effort to provide reasonable alternatives when the first solution does not work.
My experience with Metro Customer Service has consistently fallen short of that standard. As a longtime customer and disabled veteran, I expected much better treatment and consideration.
Metro needs to seriously improve its customer service training, communication, escalation process, and ability to provide customers with practical alternatives when an issue cannot be resolved during the initial call.
This experience was unnecessarily stressful, and I should not have to repeatedly fight this hard to get a basic service issue resolved.

I spent all day trying to speak with a live agent. When I asked for a live agent the phone was disconnected each time. No luck with the chat line either.I have 5 lines, but I don't want to do business with a company that doesn't give you the option to speak with a live person.

They have a 1.5 rating so I'm sure they know it's terrible. The thing to do is change phone services and spend your money somewhere else. It has gotten to the point where their is no hope of getting help at customer service. I was thinking about using metro for my business which would have been a huge account for them. I've decided to go with the company that I get customer service assistance with first.

Metro PCS - 2533 Southmore BLVD, Houston, TX
I went to the In store to Metro PCS on 9/29/26 to the 2533 Southmore Blvd location in Houston, Texas. Beware when doing business at this location. I have been with Metro for nearly 10 years and went in on September 29 simply to ask about my eligibility for a new phone after having my current device for 5 years.
The employee told me I was only eligible for a discounted phone. I asked her again with me having this phone for 5 years should I be eligible for a new phone. This girl completely played in my face and told me no. Later, after contacting customer service, I learned that she had created a new account instead of working through my existing account. I never requested a new account and was never told that one was being opened. Even the customer service agent with Metro PCS even admitted that the Southmore location clown used me for her commission.
Customer service was able to see my long customer history and confirmed that the transaction should have been handled through my original account. As a result, I feel I was misled and not treated honestly.
Long-time customers deserve transparency and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at this location. I hope management investigates this matter and takes steps to improve customer service practices.
