Extremely disappointing customer…
Extremely disappointing customer service experience with Metro. As a disabled veteran, I called Metro Customer Service because I was having an issue transferring my existing service to a new phone. Instead of receiving helpful guidance or reasonable options, I felt completely patronized and dismissed throughout the interaction. The representative was extremely difficult to understand, and the overall tone came across as rude, passive-aggressive, and condescending. Rather than taking the time to understand my situation and work with me toward a solution, I was given no meaningful options. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated experience. Every time I have to contact Metro Customer Service, resolving even a relatively simple issue becomes unnecessarily stressful and time-consuming. I repeatedly find myself having to go into a physical store because the issue cannot be properly resolved over the phone. Then, when I go into the store, I am charged a fee to get the problem resolved. That creates a very frustrating customer experience: I spend a significant amount of time trying to get help over the phone, receive poor customer service and no resolution, and then have to spend additional money traveling to a store and potentially pay another fee just to accomplish what should have been handled through customer service in the first place. I understand that not every technical issue can be resolved immediately. What I expect, however, is respect, patience, clear communication, and an effort to provide reasonable alternatives when the first solution does not work. My experience with Metro Customer Service has consistently fallen short of that standard. As a longtime customer and disabled veteran, I expected much better treatment and consideration. Metro needs to seriously improve its customer service training, communication, escalation process, and ability to provide customers with practical alternatives when an issue cannot be resolved during the initial call. This experience was unnecessarily stressful, and I should not have to repeatedly fight this hard to get a basic service issue resolved.
