Dishonest and Unethical
I transferred my mobile service and decided to get their home broadband internet (5g) as my other provider was going to raise the cost of my current plan. It was advertised as unlimited and that if you were not happy, then they would refund you for the modem (I had to buy it for $53). I took it home and logged in to my account so I could sign up for autopay and save $5 per month. When I logged in, it showed my plan as limited to 100 gb per month. I did not and would not ever pay for a limited plan. I called Metro and they said the plan was indeed limited and they could not help me. They said I had to go back to the store. I went back (two hours after buying the modem) with the modem and the receipt. They said I could not return it there and that I had to take it to another store. The other store laughed and the manager said, "Metro does not give refunds." That is totally illegal and I complained to the FCC and the state. It took weeks but my credit card company refunded my money eventually. Metro has blamed me for the entire debacle and basically said I am stupid and a liar. They failed to review my complaint and the attachments which contained time and location stamped photos, Google location records, telephone records and copies of their advertisements. Metro is a company with a very dishonest and unethical corporate culture. They are like nothing I have ever experienced in my whole life. They prey on a class of people who are not likely to know how to complain or much about the law. Shameful.
