Have been through 6 pairs of Moabs in the last 6 years. They are a one year shoe, which I can accept as I am on my feet for 10 hours a day on concrete. They were originally a blessing at first, as they were very comfortable, but the newest pair I have recently purchased are ridiculously uncomfortable to the point that I have developed shooting foot pains and am even having trouble sleeping from it. I'm done with Merrell.

Quality has vanished !!!
I have been buying Merrell shoes and boots for both myself and my wife for over 15 years and have always been a fan..... BUT - lately the quality has dropped massively. If you see a pair with the different coloured "track" down the centre of the sole - AVOID at all costs.
I have a pair with very very little wear and one of these sections is coming away. But as they are over a year old (holdays etc been postponed due to lockdowns etc) they will not do anything about it. I also discovered that Merrell have a date code on shoes - so if you buy old stock without realising they wont honour either.
Sad for them really , my wife and I currently own 7 pairs (summer/Winter shoes and boots) ..... from now on we will be looking elsewhere.
They did offer a 25% code - but all the prices on their website are way higher than retailers - and 25% off of poor quality tat still isnt a bargain !
Sorry Merrell but you've lost 2 loyal customers.

Boots fell apart after minimal use
Boots fell apart after minimal use. The boot came off the sole on the same place on both shoes (clearly some kind of design/manufacturing issue) meaning they lost waterproofing and are now useless. Merrell would not repair or replace as they are over a year old. Clearly they don't expect their products to have any longevity.

I've been an AVID customer of Merrill…
I've been an AVID customer of Merrill sneakers for well over 25 years. Unfortunately, like so many other mid-range manufacturers Merrill's products have dropped SEVERELY in both qualities of materials used, as well as the craftsmanship.
The last 5 pairs of Cham's I've ordered, ALL HAVE BEEN RETURNED. I have approx. 9 pairs in various colors that I purchased several years ago. Fortunately, when I placed these orders, I generally order at least two pairs (in colors that I like as well as colors available at the time) Compared to old stock, the newly manufactured stock is SO FAR BELOW what use to be MERRILL'S STANDARDS, the new (within the last 5 years or so) stock is GARBAGE & I will, after almost 30 years, no longer be a customer.
In addition, Merrill has increased prices, while lowering all standards ibn materials & workmanship. The "lasts" that are used in the manufacturing process leaves much to be desired, as well as everything else stated above.
Until things drastically change for the better, I must say; GOODBY MERRILL!!!

Intentional Data Dishonesty, Despite Excellent Shoes
Intentional Data Dishonesty, Despite Excellent Shoes
It is not ANY industry's best practice to both fail to include an "unsubscribe" button from unrequested marketing emails, but worse still to *force* people to create an account on the site JUST to unsubscribe from marketing emails never asked for to begin with. In fact, Merrell is intentionally, obviously and willfulling in violation of 15 U.S.C. 7704(a)(3)(B) and (a)(4) to provide a "one step" unsubscribe method. The very first time you get an unsubscribe link is in the "Welcome" email that lands after forced account creation, which is specifically noted as an illegal method.
This is not stupidity or an oversight. I've been in IT ops for two decades; I'm not guessing. Managers/execs at Merrell chose this intentionally dishonest approach and thought it wouldn't make them look bad. It's clear that the way the "user experience steps" are laid out, straightforward dishonesty is part of the design and 99% of businesses do NOT take this approach at information harvesting. Merrell's approach speaks volumes about their business philosophy and has nothing to do with making quality products.
I have reported them to the Federal Trade Commission and the FCC. You should, too.
I have a friend who loves his Merrell's so I bought a pair I love due to their wide-width sizing, but I'm "one and done" and won't buy any more. I'll keep buying my trusty Keen's and Salomon's. In five buys through 10 years, neither of those companies has yet been sneaky.
