Been a lover of merrell for many years but have also noticed a definite decline in quality. Got some Moab speed 2 they haven’t survived 6 months and I’m not a heavy walker just dog walks 1-3 miles 4/5 times a week but the soles are worn down exponentially and the toe box sole is coming off already. Think I’m going to look at other brands now

Le site en ligne merell est catastrophique. N’achetez jamais sur leur site. J’ai acheté 2 paires de chaussures et le sav est inexistant, je n’ai qu’un robot en ligne qui me repond. Leur etiquette de retour ne fonctionne pas et en plus ils veulent que je renvoie le colis à mes frais. Fuyez sauf si vous avez du temps et de l’argent à perdre. Ce sont des arnaqueurs.

I purchased a pair of Merrell Alverstone2, Gore-Tex. Within a couple of months the sole started to disintegrate. Their support email, bounced back and their phone number disconnected. Eventually, I found an info email address which did seem to reach its destination but no response. Merrell products in the past have been excellent but the quality and support seems to have plummeted. Shame.

I have worn Merrells for hiking for almost 20 years. Never had any issues. Recently reached out now that I am hiking 100km + per week and stated I was having issues with blistering and potentially looking to change model if shoe from the MOAB to another one in the merrel brand… This was their response “Dear ‘M****’ , Thank you for your e-mail, and I'm sorry to hear that our shoes appear to no longer be suitable for you. In this case, I would not feel comfortable recommending a product due to the risk of injury to yourself. I would instead strongly recommend seeking professional advice from our resellers as they are specialists in their field and could identify your personal needs and offer you an adequate solution and the best footwear style choice. They will also be better placed to advise you in person than we can via email. I hope this helps, but please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions” For a company so confident in their product the called one of their models the “Mother of all Boots”…. I am absolutely blown away by the wishy washy ‘not interested’ response from customer services / product advice team and I can’t believe how useless and disrespectful an answer that was. Absolutely no interest in retaining me as a customer, no interest in suggesting potential new models to try or advice or anything. What a rubbish world we now live in where manufacturers don’t believe in their products and are so afraid of being sued to the point where they are afraid to offer advice to their brand loyal customers. I’d leave one star but it won’t let me. As I doubt I’ll hear from Merrell, can anyone suggest a new brand who would be willing to help me?
