Residence Inn Downtown Salt Lake CIty
Residence Inn Downtown Salt Lake CIty. I'm a Titanium Elite Bonvoy member with 92 nights in Marriott properties so far this year. This place should be avoided and there are many options nearby. The front desk clerk couldn't have been more completely indifferent about his job. Might have been high. Asked if he had my Bonvoy number to ensure credit for the stay...he said "sure". He never did offer a welcome gift choice as required by the Marriott rules. I get to the room and its cold. There was snow in SLC during my stay. I realized that the heat was making noise but there was no heat coming out. Around 8pm the maintenance staff arrived and was able to fix the problem pretty quickly by opening up the unit and doing a reset. Once the room was warming up I turned on the TV but got the error message that it couldn't connect to the internet. I did a reset of the TV and the converter box but the problem persisted. When I called the front desk his only suggestion was that he give me an 800 number to call for tech support. I told him that I was calling him to fix the problem and didn't really think it was my responsibility to sit on hold for a problem with their equipment. After telling him I wasn't calling tech support for his issue I turned off the TV and fired up my laptop.
