Rates are higher than others online and you cant ever use your suite upgrades overseas. All you see is pending and when you show up at the hotels they tell you nothing is available. The flip side of this is your suite nights could have expired while waiting months for them to accept the upgrade.
I am looking for another option. As a titanium member you would expect better.

treated like rubbish!
I reached out to Marriott bonvoy customer care team to resolve a issue about my account being locked, I was directed to a number that didn’t work, and the toll number costed 20-30p per minute to make. Why should I pick up the tab, for them locking me out of my account. To rub salt into wounds, they then ignored me over chat, and then when I made a complaint, they told me to call the same number I couldn’t get through on. Terrible service, and the full red carpet treatment for a platinum member.

TownePlace Suites Boulder Broomfield/Interlocken 480 FlatIron Blvd. Broomfield, CO 80021 US
I stayed with Marriot at TownePlace Suites Boulder Broomfield/Interlocken
480 FlatIron Blvd.
Broomfield, CO 80021 US. The service I received horrible service during my stay. Our room was not cleaned once during our stay, no support services for bed linen, cleaning or any other services were provided at this location. The prices for the hotel services have increased exponentially and their customer service has completely disappeared. The support stall is rude and lazy with concept of what customer service is. I have been a long time customer with Marriot Hotels but I will not spend another dime at a Marriot Property. Bad service, over priced booking and a complete abandonment of a customer oriented environment. I will spread the word not to use Marriot Services in the future.

BUYER BEWARE Bonvoy provides inaccurate quotes when booking
I contacted Bonvoy and they gave me a new Pre-Pay amount of $3620.58. Bonvoy said it included all taxes, resort fees except Pet fee and any incidentals we accrue during our visit. My checking account was debited $3620.58, and it posted/cleared my account on June 9, 2023.
We checked out July 1 and the resort charged me an additional $1524.49 which was posted July 3, 2023. We had $541.79 in incidentals but not $1524.49
I contacted the resort and talked to Bernardo Guerrero, Rooms Operations Manager, and explained the entire situation. He said he would open a complaint. He reached out to me one time after the complaint was filed and asked for receipt documentation, which I sent immediately. I began to follow-up with him leaving voice messages, he never returned any of my messages or replied to any of my emails. I have heard nothing.
Next, I sent an email to CEO of Marriott, Mr. Anthony Capuano, explaining the situation. They immediately pushed me back off on the actual resort, who once again has done nothing for me. Terrible terrible experience. I’ve deleted the Bonvoy app.

Marriott Bonvoy is the worst loyalty…
Marriott Bonvoy is the worst loyalty program.
I've stopped booking Marriott properties due to their loyalty program. First they stopped rewarding stays booked on 3rd party websites. Now even when I book a trip through my company they don't allow points. I am switching to IHG and Hilton, who don't seem to be so stingy.

Worst stay I've ever had at Moxy Glasgow SEC
Stayed in Moxy Glasgow SEC, managed by Marriott Bonvoy for 8 nights in September.
Despite some reviews about this being a decent hotel, this was unfortunately one of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. Given that this was meant to be a hotel under Marriott Bonvoy, I was honestly surprised to encounter staff members who had absolutely no proper training in hospitality.
My check in on the first night went smoothly, the lady who checked us in was nice, we asked if we could have a room on a higher floor and was offered a nice double room on the 7th floor. However, we immediately realised that the TV was broken, and as the maintenance team had already finished for the day, we were switched to another room.
But, we didn't sleep on that first night, as we discovered over the course of the night, that the AC was faulty, and the window was locked by a key which we did not have access to (which was fine as we understand that there are security measures in place). We went down the next morning to ask the reception if they could send someone to fix the AC as it wasn't cooling down the room despite our attempts to set it at 18 degrees (we only wanted the room at a cool 20-21 degrees but was unable get the room to go under 24 degrees). Came back on the same night, and was disappointed to find the room at 26 degrees, and with a window that doesn't open, the room honestly got quite hot and stuffy. Upon asking reception again if this issue had been attended to, we were told that the maintenance team was told to 'fix a noisy AC'. This task was obviously marked as completed as the AC wasn't loud in the first place. They apologised for their mistake, but was told that the hotel was overbooked so it was 'too bad' that we had to stay in that room, and that as they were a 3 star hotel in Scotland, faulty ACs should be expected. A lady with curly blonde hair came up to check on the locked window and claimed that she would go and get the key for it, but just never came back. They also said that they had nothing to do with the maintenance team so it was not their problem that the AC wasn't fixed properly. Needless to say, our second night was just as uncomfortable.
We were moved into another room on the 3rd night with proper AC and a functioning window, but on the morning after, our keys did not give access to our room. Apparently whoever switched our rooms marked us as checking out on that day when we had another 4 nights booked and paid for.
On the 5th day upon returning to the hotel at 4pm. We discovered that the housekeeping staff had carelessly thrown our pajamas that we placed on the bed, onto the floor. There were streaks of hair and dust on it, long story short, not something that we would want to be putting on at night. We went down to ask the receptionist if there is something that can be done to get our clothes cleaned, she said she would find out but as she was not the manager, she would let us know in 2 hours if we could swing by again. We went back in two hours, and was told to speak to a girl with long orange/ginger hair. This girl, who was actually standing next to the lady that we spoke to earlier that night, was apparently the crew manager but chose not to step in earlier. She then rudely told us that the housekeeping staff also had nothing to do with them, so there was nothing that they could do about it. When we recounted all the unfortunate events that we've already been through 5 nights into our stay, they emphasized, that both the maintenance team and housekeeping team are not part of their team, so our experience had nothing to do with them. In addition, as we didn't record the visit by video(because everyone puts a camera in their room when they leave the hotel right!?), we were told by this ginger 'crew manager' that there was no point in speaking to the house keeping staff in the morning as we had no evidence that they threw our clothes onto the floor.
I guess what we should learn from this experience is - expect Marriott's 3 Star hotels to have faulty ACs, and to keep a camera recording at all hours in a hotel room? Oh, and expect to get no help from moody receptionists.

Unpleasant Organization
Having arrived early at the Wick Hotel in Hudson NY, I was dissatisfied with the room, and I decided not to stay. I was informed that I had to pay for the room. I disputed the charge, but lost since I had not cancelled in the prescribed period. The hotel is sub standard, and the Bonvoy organization is very unpleasant to deal with on all levels. I would stay elsewhere.

Marriott Customer Service Sux!
Booked a stay with points and even verified my payment method with Marriott & property I stayed.
Three months later I was billed for the entire stay and when I called to see what was going on the Marriott customer service rep said she would resolve the issue. Two weeks later I called the resort to confirm things were corrected in my account and Marriott hadn’t followed through. I then called Marriott and they had no record of any of my previous calls and informed me there was nothing they could do.
Cancelling my Bonvoy credit cards and will NOT be staying at Marriott properties ever again. Ridiculous customer service, especially with a loyal customer over the last 10 years.
