I am very disappointed in Google for adopting a ridiculous name change for a long established lake based on politics. I have deleted the app as I can no longer trust that the map information is accurate. I am now using Mapquest. Shame on you google!

Despite whatever justification they used for making this change, to rename an international body of water because one out-of-control idiot in one country demands it is the height of craven subordination of Truth to a corporate “policy.” It wouldn’t happen if the leader of Belgium demanded such an alteration, but because Google is “American” it feels it must kowtow! I have removed Maps from my device and Gmail, Pictures, and Google apps are going too.

To whom it concerns, What is happening to the Top management, that the serious decision to change the name of a location, that name of which has existed for centuries, to an algorithmic bureaucracy? That decision to show Lake America to US residents and Lake Ontario to Canadian residents is so absurd, ridiculous, and laughable. What is the part of humans in a decision that affects Humans?
