always use maps

Google Maps are a poor choice for cyclists in Central London. The routes direct the cyclist along circuitous, inefficient routes along busy, congested main roads choked with traffic whilst leafy, quiet direct routes are easily available. Yesterday, most of the route suggested was along horrible, polluted roads whilst using designated cycle paths in the Royal Parks was a much more direct route (I can't find a way of attaching the screenshot to demonstrate). Today, similarly, whilst the route suggested partially used cycle paths, it was very indirect and the roads shared with heavy lorries and a more direct route using cycle quietways was much quicker, safer and easier. I have found Google Maps good for some things, cycling is not one of them. I have attempted to leave feedback on the site but it was not possible due to over-control of input.

For some unknown reason, google maps has recently become unable to provide directions from my home address (saved by google maps) to any other location. I have to use a different map tool, of which there are only a limited number.
