To Google maps, It is : LAKE ONTARIO !! and while I'm talking, it is ; GULF OF MEXICO !!

Not happy as map destinations are often labelled incorrectly. It is: Gulf of Mexico Lake Ontario Straight of Hormuz

Gets the name of basic places wrong. Leadership has no backbone.

Google is very disrespectful to native Americans, the majority of US citizens and Canadian people for changing the name of Lake Ontario, to Lake America. It is an outrage, and you should be ashamed of yourself. I have lost all respect for Google.

Google maps seems to inadequatly identify geographical locations, leading to confusion. Expect more from Google, makes me second guess other Google apps.

Sucks up to the illegal whims of a petulant wanna-be dictator. Switching to Mapquest.

Generations of children have learned the memory trick HOMES to recall the names of the five Great Lakes. If you change the O for Ontario to an A for America and rearrange the letters slightly, they now spell SHAME. That is what Google Maps should feel for changing the 400-year-old indigenous name of Lake Ontario simply because of political pressure from the president.
