BOOKING EXPERIENCE: I had a flight itinerary booked from BOM-KUL-BOM. While booking the ticket, I usually opt for MHInsure option (trust me, it is useful... it has saved me some ER costs when in a foreign country). In this flight, there was some error while booking for insurance. So I mailed them asking how can I avail this option (around 48+ hours before my journey). I got the reply 5 days after the return journey was completed. LOYALTY PROGRAM: It is completely worthless and they almost never update the Enrich points or whatever they are called. Emails/messages for claiming missing points are almost never answered. Don't bother with this. IN-FLIGHT EXPERIENCE: Mediocre food at best. Dirty lavatories. Congested seats. OVERALL VALUE-FOR-MONEY: Extremely expensive pricing (especially after Covid). Looks like the airline is desperately trying to recover the lost business, but without providing any significant/memorable value to the customer. In short, their in-flight Safety Instruction video claims "experience" Malaysian hospitality. But what you get more of instead, is the typical Malaysian lethargy in service and attitude.

I booked a Qatar flight which was ran by Malaysia Airlines from KL to Madrid with a 2 plus hours stop in Doha. Flight from KL was delayed for 2 hours and once in Doha Qatar didn't want to take responsibility and they advised me to go to Malaysia Airlines hq at DOH. They are useless. I have been waiting for a connecting flight to Madrid for over 3 hours and they cannot find one. I showed them that I have another flight from Madrid to El Salvador tomorrow and I would likely miss that flight. They basically said it is not their problem. From now on I will book directly from airlines' websites that use chat for customer service to at least have proof in case of any eventuality.

Not even flown yet byt 5 calls and 3.5 hours and counting due they taking my money for seat allocations not showing. Call dropped four times last time an hour in. Comical customer service. The worst of any airline I have used and I have used many in all continents.

We flew Adelaide, Australia direct to Kuala Lumper then on to Kota Kinabalu, Borneo on the 14th March 23. We returned from Sandakan, Borneo via KL on the 22nd/23rd March 23. Once we received our Booking Number from our TA and logged onto the Malaysian Airlines web site we found many options including Seating upgrades and choices (at a price). Communications from the Airline to us re open checkin etc were all good and very clear. Boarding the flights was by seating zones and done in an orderly fashion. The planes were clean, well serviced and the Flight Crew were all excellent. The entertainment system was okay but had few hitches, once worked out it was okay. We take our own headsets as unless you fly Business the supplied ones on most airlines are rubbish. Service on board with Food and Drinks was good and the quality of the food on all 4 flights was excellent. Would certainly recommend and will use Malaysia Airlines again.

Flew from KUL/DPS 26 February 2023 Aircraft: A330-300 Class of Travel: Business Class Seat: 5A Food: Lame, and lousy. Even the food on AirAsia taste way better. I shall stop at that. Comfort: 4/5 - seats could be wider for large people. Service: 5/5 - no complaints there. Aircraft Lavatory: Disgusting and dirty Lounge: 3/5 - food offerings were pretty bad Overall: Definitely not 5 stars, the food was the deal breaker!

flight delayed with absolutely zero warning from the crew. 50% of passengers missed their connections in Doha as a result. Took Malaysian over 4 hours to rectify the problem after initially saying it was nothing to do with them. Airlines have a duty of care to their customers. Unfortunately, Malaysian do not seem to follow this code sufficiently.
