They don't give money back for a reason, They are s selling crap. Just got an upholstery cleaning Bissell machine and it has no attachments. That was not in the description and it is worthless without them. Everything is taped shut so you can't examine before leaving and evidently they don't look at anything either. This was first and last time buying from them. I am to poor to waste money on crap I can't use. Terrible experience and have cancelled my account.

Buyer beware... BUY the INSURANCE, if you don't, you will get stuck with it. 7 out of 10 products I bought were broken or had missing parts!!!!!

I placed a max bid of $86 on an item using the phone app. I watched until the end of the bidding period and it showed a winning bid of $63 that was submitted by another bidder. The phone app still shows that I had submitted a max bid of $86, but when I look at my account on the MAC.BID website, it shows the highest bid I had submitted was $49. I never placed a $49 bid. It's a scam.

For the second time I have won an auction only to find that a $7 charge for "buyers assurance" was added onto my invoice. By the time auctions end there is no one to answer the phone at MacBid and they do not open again until 9:00 am the next day, which is when they are putting thru the charge for your auction. When I sent them 2 emails requesting this be corrected and then left a voice mail after trying 3 times to get to a real person. I finally received a email response tonight stating that once an item is picked up the charge cannot be reversed. When I went into pick up the items I did look for the person up front to speak to but the desk was empty. I finally asked an employee to page someone and I waited for more than 10 minutes and finally gave up and left with my item. MacBid is known to often attach inaccurate pictures to auctions and they also provide incorrect links to auctions that lead to Amazon products that don't always match the auction item. It is a shame that they chose not to conduct business in an honest manner.

Fairly new to this business. It is possible to find good deals but use caution. Many items are boxed and taped making an in depth, pre purchase inspection quite difficult. I bought a lamp set, in original box, taped securely, actually looked like new. Once I got it home found it was missing the lamp shades. The pictures of the items on their website are not necessarily the actual item being offered but a picture copied from Amazon or some other source. Something they will happily inform you of if you point out the picture does not match the actual item. High dollar items should definitely be inspected before bidding, if possible, and the buyers assurance does provide a measure of protection at a non refundable additional cost. Buyer beware.

I have been buying at macbid for about 2 years,, i look at the photos and read the description carefully..i have bought a few duds but the 4 pages of my purchase history are mostly home runs. Do not expect too much and read everything you will save a lot of money Chuck Singer

bad program hangs up wont load pages right. have to shut down and reload. I was clicking on a page trying to get it to do something and it was increasing my bid in background. Told macbid about problem and they said once you bid its yours. they you have to pay for item. I refused to pay for an item i did not want and did not knowingly bid on. They suspended me. My wife opened an account with macbid and they let her buy, took money and then canceled account and said they would refund money in a couple of weeks. She cant buy because i was suspended.Tried to call to clear up no results.

Carts are scarce, warehouses are stripped and dimly lit with ridiculously inconvenient hours and distant unless you happen to live near one were your item is located, otherwise expect a substantial "Tran$$$fer Fee". There is no Actual distinction to between their Condition Codes labeled "Like New", "Open Box" and "Damaged". Almost everything I have purchased was damaged to some extent and often complete trash with no recourse or return. By the time they finish with a universal $3 fee, tacking on an another 15% fee (?), a $7 and up-up-up buyer protection fee and a $5 and up-up-up transfer fee it becomes completely ridiculous to take the substantial risk on most items. Pray your not used to Nordstrom's, because on top of the ridiculous cost escalations, travel and risk, the warehouse conditions are apocalyptic. Finding your item(s) and uncovering them from the mountain of debris is also an unpleasant adventure. Expect long arrival and parting lines. In the end I am happy to pay for convenience, zero risk, a predictable fair deal with easy returns, no travel-delivered to my door and no lugging filthy boxes. Overall I rate my experience as poor and expensive.
