My mentor, program manager, writing team, and publication specialist have all been very helpful. My mentor, Ms. Tacye Hong helped me a lot with my research paper and helped me learn so many new things. She was one of the kindest persons I have ever met and it was very easy to talk to her and approach her. My program manager, Ms. Nadini Pessaldine, was always there to help me out. When I needed help in changing the topic for my research paper, she was extremely patient and helpful in that process. She always addressed my questions as soon as she could and was supportive throughout the whole journey. My writing specialist, Mr. Forest Malley, gave me a lot of constructive feedback which helped in improving the grammar and structure of my research paper. He always gave the feedback within 4 to 5 days and was very approachable. My publication specialist, Mr Ayush Dhall, helped in identify which journals I could publish my paper, according to my research paper's format and topic(s). Overall, my time with the Lumiere program has been amazing and I am so grateful for this opportunity. Thank you so much Lumiere team!

The mentor is really helpful with figuring out a research question, designing a good plan for gathering data, and reviewing and editing my paper. Also, she knows where to find relevant papers to study and has helped me find some really interesting and insightful articles. And the writing center helps too. They hold online sessions on how to write a paper. Whenever I send them my paper for advice, they come back with the most helpful feedback right on time. Their suggestions are spot-on, and they always provide explanations to back them up.

I was a student in the Fall Cohort of the Individual Research Program and had an amazing time. I had a mentor who is a graduate student in a top university in the US and I ended up writing an amazing paper on astrophysics and computer science with the guidance of my mentor and my writing coach. As well as the research paper outcome, I got to expand my network thanks to the participants from all across the globe! Lastly, they offer financial aid to many students (I was one of them) which is not typical for high school research programs.

The program was well organized and the deadlines, while sometimes difficult, were critical in my completion. The mentor I got was also extremely supportive of my paper and provided excellent feedback.

One of the key parts of my experience was my mentor who truly made the experience wonderful and explained everything so very clearly. If I am to be 100% honest, I did not use all the materials as I already had a background in academic writing but really appreciated all the materials that Lumiere did provide me with. Overall the experience was life changing and I would absolutely recomend it to everyone wanting to pursue an academic life in the future.

It's a great way for high school students to get into research in the fields they want to major in.The mentors assigned are really helpful and overall great experience! Highly recommend if you can afford it :)

I think it was a great experience which helped me especially built up on later in college. It definitely opens up many opportunities at university. Worth it!
