I applied as a freelancer, took time out of my busy day to take their test and write an essay. I got my “grade” back, which was a zero. Upon further questioning it turned out their “system” has flagged my activity as suspicious. What caused this, they couldn’t tell me. The decision was final and couldn’t be appealed. Bullshit company, great way to waste your time.

I have a full time job but still use Livingston Research platform for some additional income from time to time. The pay is not very high, however, I can't say it differs from other platforms that provide same service. What I like is the support team, they always try to help even when they don't have answer to my question right away.

Pros: no bidding - you just have the selection of available orders and accept the one you like into work. Also, the platform tabs are user-friendly, I can manage my workload, finances, reports easily. Cons: they may fine you for not revising the orders at night time.

This company is very legitimate. Their systems are well-structured to help both the client and the freelancer. I love working here.

What's with Livingston Research?? Has it stopped hiring African countries (Nigerian, Zambian, Kenyan etc)? Do they have a fault in their OTP messaging?

The company is also good at supporting writers when facing difficulty on orders. They strike a balance between caring for freelancers and caring for clients. They have a good set of work quality policies.

I appreciate that your company has recognised the need to defend its business by responding to reviews. Though it may seem strange, it is necessary. I can say that a freelancer does not need to wait for a generation to see an order to work with. The "no bidding" system is a good initiative. The world needs to follow fair and ethical business practices. However, your policy supports earning large profits while labourers struggle to survive, which is appalling. Livingston Research, as a company, has an interface designed solely for writers or freelancers. To you and many business enthusiasts, leveraging the exchange rate and targeting countries where the dollar holds more value than local currencies is an ideal business model in this industrial era. You have other platforms where you accept assignments from students in the United States and Canada. A single page costs an average of $20 for clients, yet you pay freelancers from third-world countries an average of $3 per hour/page—just 10% of what you charge. No reasonable person from a developed country with English as their native language would accept such meagre compensation. What does this indicate? Your target freelancers are Africans, Asians, and writers from other economically struggling regions, whose dire living conditions make them vulnerable to such exploitation. I understand that you have well-trained customer representatives who will go to great lengths to defend your company’s deceptive business practices. In June 2024, your company carried out a mass purge, suspending all freelancers from Nigeria and other African countries for reasons so absurd that any serious observer would deem them irrational. Nevertheless, the oppressed always remember their oppressors. This is the unfortunate reality that the management of Livingston Research operates within. But, in the end, it is not their fault—it is the nature of the abnormal world we live in.

Garbage platform gives you arbitrary one star ratings and has zero transparency as to why they did it. Don't waste your time with these clowns.
