Put more thought into designing your homes.
The shower stall is so small it excludes handicapped and elderly persons who need to use a bench seat. I would gladly give up some closet space so my brother, who is paralyzed, can take a shower. The architect needs to keep in mind not all home buyers are able-bodied. The living room window is a fixed window and can not be opened for a nice cross breeze. I have never lived in a house where main windows could not be opened. It seems not much thought was put into the designing of some of these homes. When installing sewer lines, plumbing straight across the middle of the back yard is very inconvenient for people wanting to put in underground pools.
