In the process of buying a home it was a three-car garage and right 2 days before closing. Doing the walk-through notice that they didn't include a garage door opener or a light above the third car garage and they did a complete bait and switch on me and would not include a garage door opener like it's the 1940s. Nobody was able to help me and even their contract document does not state that they are not going to include these items. They just decided not to install them and said that's just what they're doing.

Do not buy a Lennar home
Do not buy a Lennar home. We have had 3 issues (so far) that should be covered by the home warranty and each time Lennar has done nothing and said it’s correct.
1. Our electric dryer kept tripping the breaker, we put in a claim and Lennar sends someone out who says it’s a new outlet they used and it’s not their fault we have to modify our dryer. Had no issues with the dryer at our last place
2. We cannot charge our car even though house came with an electric charger! The outlet was out in upset down so the cable could not reach out, Lennar sent someone out to fix the outlet. Electrician let us know the cable doesn’t work with the outlet and they would escalate to Lennar so we can get the right part. Lennar says the problem has been resolved because the outlet was fixed and we have to buy a new cable. It’s ridiculous they ordered and installed the wrong stuff but somehow we have to come out of pocket to fix it?
3. Been in the house since May, never had any rain until this week and noticed our back yard was flooding because the drains aren’t working. We have to have flood insurance because apparently we are in a flood zone so you would think Lennar would want to fix this right away, nope! We submit the claim and once again Lennar deflects any responsibility. They claim the drains are a new kind and don’t actually drain during the rain instead it’s after it’s stopped they are supposed to work.. if you are confused that makes 2 of us! So they put drains in a flood zone that don’t work when it’s raining, yes makes sense. Instead they say we might have to get hardscaping done to minimize the problem! I just don’t understand why they couldn’t inform us of these “special drains” during our house walk through so we were aware. I am so tired of their horrible customer service and lack of problem solving.
I am beyond mad at them for never acknowledging their issues and refusing to fix it. Everything is placed back on the homeowner. I will never buy another Lennar home and will be telling everyone to stay away!

Poor quality and completely unhelpful…
Poor quality and completely unhelpful warranty support. We purchased our home in 2023, and within the first year the heater failed. Now, just 2 years and 3 months later, it has broken again. This time, Lennar refused to repair it because it was slightly out of warranty. Considering the unit failed within the first year, you would expect them to stand behind their product — but they didn’t.
They also installed a booster pump in the garage that was mounted to the wall. The pump began leaking and caused damage to the wall, yet Lennar again refused to take responsibility or provide any assistance. After speaking with several neighbors, I learned manyl experienced the same issue with their booster pumps. This is clearly not an isolated incident, but a pattern of poor workmanship that Lennar refuses to address.
I cannot recommend purchasing a home from them. Our house is barely two years old, yet the heater has already failed twice, and the booster pump installation caused property damage. Completely unacceptable.

Buyers be AWARE
Buyers be AWARE — ongoing water intrusion, floor damage, and mold in a 2-year-old Lennar home.
My home was built by Lennar in 2023, and within less than two years I began experiencing water intrusion from the hurricane-rated sliding door and foundation. Lennar technicians confirmed it was caused by improper installation and sealing. Despite several visits, inspections, and partial repairs, the issue persisted for months — and the interior wood flooring was completely damaged.
Because of the constant moisture, mold started to appear under the floor and baseboards, forcing us to remove all flooring for safety.
Lennar’s warranty team admitted the cause was construction-related but refused to cover the flooring replacement, claiming their warranty “does not cover consequential damages.”
This is not a “consequential” or third-party issue — it is direct physical damage caused by the same construction defect Lennar acknowledged (door/foundation sealing failure). Under Lennar’s 10-Year Structural Warranty, foundation and exterior door installations are covered as part of the building envelope.
After months of back-and-forth and multiple site visits, this issue is still unresolved. I’m sharing my experience so that future buyers are aware: check your door installation, foundation sealing, and drainage early. Water intrusion and mold should never happen in a two-year-old home.

If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. When I tell you I dispise Lennar, I dispise them. I moved in a newly built neighborhood 8 years ago, got my newly built home and the number of problems between then and now is a disgrace. I advise if you are doing new building, get your own inspection done.. it may cost you more, but do it. We are now doing siding repairs because Lennar forgot to put the flashing between the roof and the side of the house causing the water to run in between the beems/panels and leak through my windows into the house when it rains. It took us sometime to get it done as we did not have the funds.. when we finally got the repair and they sent a picture of what they saw this infuriated me because this is the 2nd no flashing issue with this same house. How are they passing these inspections?? Anyway.. do Not go anywhere Lennar is building. You will regret it.. ( Also, a number of other folks in my subdivision has issues as well)

I am just within a year of my new home…
I am just within a year of my new home warranty and Lennar is giving me a hard time on the repair of the driveway due to the fact the cement was way too thin and now it is crumbling.

Subpar
Large, single home, residential home builders get the lowest bids possible from subcontractors, and then they select the subcontractors. The subcontractors use poor, unskilled labor, poor craftsmanship, and subpar materials. It’s all about maximizing profit, not making a quality home. We have had More issues than I can type in this space here in a home that’s only nine years old. HVAC mis sized, plumbing leaks. Exterior paint. To name a few.
