Buying a home with Lennar was truly a journey, filled with highs, lows, lessons, and growth. I want to start by giving huge recognition to our salesperson, Terrence Greene. Terrence is an amazing person with incredible confidence and heart. Even when it felt like our backs were against the wall, he never stopped believing in us. He had faith that my spouse and I would get approved, and when challenges came up, he already had a Plan B in place. He refused to give up, and that made all the difference. He’s not just a great salesman—he genuinely cares. Kayla Scalise also deserves endless praise. I truly can’t say enough about her. She was always available, no matter the time, whenever we had questions or concerns. She stayed consistent and supportive throughout the entire process and never gave up on us. Thank you a million times over—stars alone are not enough to rate someone like Kayla. Unfortunately, our experience did not start out well. Our first salesman, Tony (Katy location), was by far the worst part of the process. The lack of care and professionalism was obvious. The loan officer at that time was just as disappointing—no communication and no responses, which made an already stressful process even harder. I do want to thank Lisa Wersinger for the effort she did put in. It was appreciated. However, once underwriting sent the file back we felt like it was no alternative options, it felt like there was no longer a fight for us. As for Amy Walker, the rating system allows for multiple stars, but one star was more than enough to reflect this experience. She was extremely rude, dismissive, and showed little concern for her clients or their success in purchasing a home. Her attitude was very disturbing and nearly caused my spouse and me to give up on the process entirely. If I were required to work with her again, I would choose to cancel before moving forward. Buying a home is not easy—especially if your life is not perfectly in order. That’s the reality. My advice to future buyers: research, research, research. Make sure you understand the process, show stability, and be prepared before you invest. Don’t play games—this is a serious commitment. Most importantly, don’t give up. If it doesn’t work out the first time, it’s not failure—it’s learning. If homeownership is meant for you, give it everything you’ve got. In the end, you’ll be grateful for the fight you put in as you begin your new journey.

I would give no stars if I could. The worst customer service and the worst quality home I’ve ever seen. I’ve had to pay thousands of dollars to fix things that Lennar refused to take responsibility for. Please do not make the same mistake.

There are a lot of annoying things wrong with our home, the alcove for the fridge bows out because they didn’t fix the wall properly, the mud work is shotty at best, and the counters peel away at the corners. We’ve only been here a little over a year and honestly we hate it. The fire alarms are in the worst possible spots and go off for the literal tiniest thing, which is horrible with a newborn. The builders left trash all inside of our walls which we found out when we had to patch a hole behind the door. The caulking along the baseboards look like a toddler did it, and they use the cheapest flat paint they can find, no use trying to clean anything off your walls cause you’ll just remove the paint.

I recently bought a home in Tillage Farms in Texas. Looking back, it should have been a red flag when I went in two days before Thanksgiving to close and it felt like we were being herded through the process like cattle through a chute. The title signing was honestly the only positive experience I’ve had with Lennar, and everything has gone downhill since. After moving in, I discovered an undisclosed leak that caused water damage to the master bathroom cabinet. About a week later, I experienced a sewage backup (thankfully not inside the home). Even though I reported it before 6 p.m., Lennar refused to send anyone out. After waiting and debating for four hours whether to call a plumber myself, I received a call from Ben saying, “No one was available to come out.” The following day, I was told the issue wasn’t a “whole house problem” and was supposedly localized—according to Ben. I’m still trying to understand how a sewage backup can be considered localized. A plumber didn’t arrive until 1 p.m. the next day. On top of that, I’m dealing with an ant infestation, and it’s been extremely difficult to get anyone at Lennar to help with anything at all. Even something as simple as getting trash cans has been far more complicated than it should be. Their claim that “you will be surrounded by a team” is a gimmick and honestly a joke—they disappear before you even close on your home. I hate that this was my first experience buying a house. Lennar clearly does not care about their homes or their buyers. To top it off, they couldn’t even find the keys to my home for over an hour when I went to pick them up after closing.

Our experience with Lennar has been extremely disappointing. From the start of the home-buying process through closing and move-in, we encountered numerous issues that have yet to be resolved. While we initially overlooked poor customer service and communication, these shortcomings have now resulted in serious problems. We have had issues with the Lennar mortgage not making property tax payments on time, title transfer not happening correctly, and unresponsive and ineffective customer service. Once the sale closed, the agents who assisted us became unresponsive, and other representatives have provided little to no support. This lack of accountability is unacceptable. Additionally, Lennar’s decision to build directly behind our homes has significantly impacted our privacy. This section is now the most congested part of the community, and neither the HOA nor Lennar has addressed our concerns despite repeated inquiries from multiple homeowners. We would recommend that prospective buyers speak with current residents and explore other communities before committing to Lennar.

We just bought a new home from Lennar and loved it from the start. Upon moving in, we found out a few lies that were told about amenities, lack of quality build, cheap appliances and terrible warranty. First of all, when looking to buy, we were told about certain things like “The Club” and retail shops in the community and so on. Well, these don’t look like they are happening. The quality of the build itself is below average. I guess you should go over with a fine tooth comb on the walk through prior to closing and be ready to not have everything corrected by closing. If it isn’t perfect, I would say walk away. Windows spaces were all different sizes, fuse panel panel breaker kept tripping, garage door track not aligned, poor interior paint job, missed paint areas, and so on and so on. They also provide the cheapest appliances they could put in. They may look decent but they are cheap. Be prepared to upgrade them very soon. Also, once moved in, be prepared to submit warranty claims. However, also be prepared to wait more than 2 weeks to get anything done, if at all. Customer service reps for the warranty are terrible and can’t schedule things correctly. First after a week or so from filing the claim, a virtual call comes to “troubleshoot” the issue then you have to wait a week or so to have a rep come out. If you have another choice of builder, I would suggest looking at them and staying clear of Lennar.

We recently purchased a home in The Collection at Hopewell, Pennington, NJ. While the house itself is well-built, I am very concerned about new homes being constructed extremely close to existing homes, including mine. When we signed the contract, we relied on the community map provided by Lennar, but it did not clearly show the proximity of neighboring houses. Additionally, our sales representativeTJ, did not clearly explain or point out that the next house would be built right next to ours. Now, with construction underway, the very close spacing significantly impacts privacy for our family. Several of our neighbors are experiencing the same issue, which suggests this is a broader community concern. I recommend that prospective buyers carefully review lot spacing, side setbacks, and privacy impacts before purchasing. Specially one they are building at Fred clark street.Lennar should improve transparency in their marketing, maps, and communication, so buyers fully understand how close neighboring homes will be. We tried contacting the builder, but nobody response back
