So far my experience with Lennar has not been very pleasant, people working for this builder seems to not know their responsibilities, I recently bought a house by the far south side of San Antonio, the plan of the house is nice, the building materials are worth what you pay for your house, The cosmetic details are not good, cabinets are cheap but good enough to do the job, the entrance post of the house that supports the roof at the corner still has all the splinters from the tree 😁, wood was not sanded, just painted over the rough splinters, I like that the whole front of the house has brick, which increases the value of the house if you ever decide to resale, this is something that other builders don t offer for the prices that Lennar does, Rooms are good size, master bedrooms bathrooms are very nice, hallway windows very nice, I don’t like that outside the house there is only one water Source, and it was installed outside the property fence, don’t know who s idea was that but they were probably hangover when they added it to the house plan😁, the house came with a two car garage which is excellent, HVAC, water heater, and appliances are good, not top of the line but acceptable, insulation is sprayed on the inside of roof at attic, which helps to avoid the ugly fiber glass insulation which used to be in older homes, Garages are not insulated, so they’re very hot, and I will move in next week, (July 2026) we shall see if this house is going to perform good when it comes to energy efficient features, so there it is, I think overall, this houses are good if you think of the price you are paying for them, I looked for about three months for used and new homes and I think I chose the right house. Have a nice time shopping for houses!!!😎

Overall, this is a great community with many positive aspects. The neighborhood is growing, new families are moving in, and the location is very convenient. Grocery stores, gyms, shopping, and other everyday necessities are all nearby, and places like Target are just a short drive away. The community itself is welcoming and has a lot of potential. One disappointment in our experience was regarding the kitchen backsplash. We were told that our home would have a full backsplash, but it was not installed as expected. After moving in, we noticed many comparable homes in the community have full backsplash installed, which made the situation even more confusing and disappointing. This has left us feeling overlooked compared to other homeowners in the community. Despite this concern, we do enjoy the community, the location, and the overall neighborhood atmosphere.

Writing to review my Lennar experience 2 years after closing and moving into my new home at Coopers Bluff, in Myrtle Beach, SC. I will start by saying others in my community have had worse experiences, so perhaps I am a lucky one, or perhaps they are blowing some things out of proportion as well, both could be true. Back to my experience, the sales agent was very nice and she was responsive. My closing went smoothly, ( I did not use Lennar as a lender). The house had some issues at walk through, but most of those were fixed in a semi-timely manner, I had to make many calls and had a few no shows but overall not horrible. The house itself is pretty basic, no options to choose from since covid this is just the norm with these mid-grade builders like Lennar, DR, Pulte/Centex and that group, you’d need to jump up a level to like a Toll Brothers or Poert City Homes to get custom and nice workmanship, but that comes with a larger price tag as well.. so it’s the old get what you paid for thing here. My biggest complaints are I have walls that are not straight, molding that has big curves and bumps in because the wall or sheetrock is not square, some of the doors swell in humidity so they are fine on non humid days but on humid days the stick and or don’t close without being forced too, first I have seen that in any home I have ever owned. The cheap disk lights all over the house flicker on/off and different brightness each time they are turned on, sounds like it could have been a bad batch- but regardless the lighting is super cheap. Things I like however exist as well. The floorplan is super nice, well thought out (Boston plan). We love the main floor flooring, looks great and 2 years in is still like new! The kitchen cabinets and countertops are real nice as well, compared to the much cheaper stuff they use in all the bathrooms the kitchen is a BIG upgrade in materials, so that is nice. All in all I give it a 6/10, not super nice or quality but not the worst I have seen as well, and for the price it is exactly what it is, mid-grade build, buy a mid-grade builder, at a mid-grade price point, so in all it lines up.

I’m struggling between the number of stars. I settled on 3 because overall the home itself works well and I haven’t had that many issues. My frustrations have all been on the Lennar management side. I’ve had multiple things that were promised to me at closing that I’m still waiting for — once you close, they have other priorities. I also see some bad practices, like lumber left out in the pouring rain uncovered for weeks at a time, and nonsecured dumpsters. Trash from construction flies in my yard every day. I’m pissed that they chose a property management company for the HOA, because residents have no say in HOA rules until the construction period of three years is over. Lennar is also in bed with all its service providers, including the mandatory solar panels, and takes kickbacks that they don’t disclose. I got manipulated into using their mortgage company because they said it was “too late” to back out without specifying a deadline earlier, snd had a terrible experience where the loan officer was unresponsive and we had to move the closing date because he didn’t give me instructions for the down payment until less than 24 hours prior. I keep being told that the staff is overworked and that’s why things are going slowly. …..????? Fix the damn problem. Would I do it again? Probably, since inventory is absurdly limited now. But beware that it will be an enormous pain.
