Enamel doesn't hold up, warrantee not honored
I have 3 different Le Creuset enameled cast iron cookware items. Each one has seen the enamel crack/scratch despite following use and care instructions. I only used them with wooden utensils and with low heat. Enamel cracked despite this. Lifetime warrantee is not honored. Response when I tried to return was that damage was caused by a utensil. Again, I only used wood utensils as instructed. I was told that they would replace it nevertheless, and asked to choose a color. I was told to use the damaged item as a planter. I chose a color and never heard back. When I contacted them again, the story changed. I was told I would have to return the original at my expense. When I inquired why the conditions had changed, I never received a response. There are less expensive enamel cast iron cookware on the market that I would purchase. I would not purchase another item from Le Creuset. This a response to LeCreuset's request for ticket number. There seems to be two tickets associated with this. The first is 494580, then when the communication changed, a new ticket was created 508432.
