I am very happy with my Lance glasses. There was a glitch in that I backed an earlier campaign and didn’t get the original frames I had requested, but the ones I did get are very nice. The quality of the frames and lenses are every bit as good as the promotional info led me to expect. Full marks there. Unfortunately, I think the team really struggled to manage missed deadlines and overall customer service. It took a while for my query to be acknowledged and I was beginning to fear I’d been scammed. I’ve backed plenty of crowdfunded projects, so completely understand that things can go awry. However, it’s all in the communication! Once I was finally able to establish a dialogue, I was treated with absolute courtesy and professionalism (and, of course, I did receive my lovely glasses) 🤓

Well designed and poorly executed. The glasses aren’t close to the size their broken virtual tool showed. Horrible delays and when asked for an update the poor customer service led by Karim (this guy needs a serious attitude adjustment), they snap at you and act like they’re doing you a favor. Emails don’t get a reply and then they’re annoyed after you ping their public page. Not buying from them again. I got my glasses; not worth the money, time or effort and certainly not worth putting up with their prissy responses. Update: well if you believe your response style on the Facebook group was within boundaries please re-examine standards. The community is the community of those buying/backing. Not the providers of the service necessarily hold the same position. I strongly think you could have handled responses better and been more understanding of people. You were constantly responding with, “refer to our other posts” or “don’t ask for shipping updates here”. You would hold people to rigid standards of having “read all the material” and followed a strict process with often a rude reply saying you wouldn’t entertain such questions anymore. How’s that a “community” experience? You asked for a review and got one. When this is a documented enough experience and not a fake review, instead of wanting to be better you came back with a “do not tolerate” reply. That’s an indication of the problems you’re facing. Time and time again you have gotten heat on the group for those replies. People have opinions; if you didn’t want to hear all feedback don’t push for reviews and creating a community if you didn’t want to hear it. if you wanted to alter the bad experiences, make it up in good customer service and owning up to issues, not challenging them and being stubborn. All the best with your business. I for one, am not looking forward to be part of this. Also, I said, poor customer service led by Karim. Meaning the worst of those instances I saw from him. I didn’t presume to know your hierarchy or mean to ask for you org-chart.

I love my glasses and I will surely buy another pair - or two (sunglasses) - if still needed after the cataract operation I'm waiting for. Delivery was as expected, prescription perfect and I enjoy checking out the happy faces in the Facebook community...

It did take a little bit to arrive, but it is absolutely worth the wait. Have gotten so many compliments on my glasses, and it even survived a car crash! As soon as I am able I’m ordering another pair.
