Avoid doing business with this company. Although they advertise free returns for 45 days, since my $165 shoes were discounted by $10 ( to $155) they were classified as “last chance Final sale” and ineligible for a refund when they did not fit. Although I read the return policy, I was unaware that a paltry $10 discount negated any hope of a return. I think this is a very shady way of doing business.

I just spent $136 for shoes I cannot return because they were on sale. They don't support me well, but I'm stuck with them. The $47 Clark's loafers I bought from JCPenney are more supportive than these shoes. I'm really unhappy with kuru. UPDATE: I was permitted to return the shoes, after raising a fuss. That's exhausting. And if the pollicy is no returns, why doesn't it say that IN BOLD LETTERS SO PEOPLE KNOW THAT BEFORE HAND!

Package lost. Transferred three times to finally be told that I’d have to file a claim with UPS which could take 1 - 7 days as they considered the package lost (already had been waiting for delivery for 2 weeks at this point). Asked for expedited pair of slippers to be sent in place of lost package and was told this was not possible. Again redirected to UPS for claim filing. Went ahead and disputed charge with my credit card company. Will never buy from Kuru again.

The size of the KURU shoe is much smaller than Rockport or New Balance shoes. Kuru would not exchange or refund the purchase . This is a terrible company to do business with.

Ordered shoes in Canada AND PAID FOR SHIPPING INSURANCE through Kuru. Fedex did not deliver, once I realized they had the shoes at customs, the 5 day hold window was over. Additionally, much to my shock, the additional customs cost for the shoes was $70!!! Nonetheless, they said they no longer had the shoes. I contacted Kuru - they refused to refund even though I had the shipping insurance. They said they needed to physically have the shoes back to refund. They did not care that I had insurance. BUYER BEWARE - I STILL HAVE NO REFUND AND I HAVE NO SHOES - my next call will be VISA. The shoes may be great for your feet, but the costs and inability to refunded for no product is bad for your pocketbook. I would never buy from this company again. UPDATE - Dec 2023 - within hours of me registering a complaint to VISA KURU contacted me by email to say that they 'were' going to refund me but couldn't now because there was a chargeback complaint and now it might take months for me to get my money back. They further said if I could cancel the complaint, they'd immediately refund me. I did not cancel the VISA complaint - I've already waited months for a resolution. This company not only took my money for shoes, but charged for 'INSURANCE' and has never refunded me - Their insurance product seems fraudulent if it doesn't pay for non-receipt of product. There business practices are very questionable. ZERO STARS FOR KURU.

The shoes are all right. I thought they could be my go-to shoe. However, their website is so poorly run that you can not filter by size. It shows you can, but the result does not reflect the filter. It makes it impossible to shop.

Like many others I fell for Kuru's advertisement where a little canadian flag pops up. I have dealt with other american companies where this means that it includes the appropriate taxes etc. I fell for the titles of easy exchange, returns. If you read the find print this is not true if you are not in the US. Felt like false advertisement. I am returning the shoes without trying them on. I now will have to pay for the return AND Then fill out a bunch of forms to get the tax and customs duty that I paid.
