We’re really sorry this was your experience. We completely understand why you’d be disappointed after purchasing the ATOM Waterproof specifically for wet conditions and then ending up with soaked socks and feet after wearing them in heavy Florida rain. The ATOM Waterproof is designed to be waterproof, so water leaking through the shoe itself should not be happening. One thing to keep in mind with heavy rain and puddles is that water can potentially enter over the ankle collar, which isn’t designed to prevent water from coming in over the top. Because the ATOM Waterproof has a waterproof lining, rather than the breathable mesh found in some of our other styles, water that enters this way can also have a difficult time evaporating throughout the day. That said, if water is getting into the shoes anywhere other than over the ankle collar, the shoes may have a defect, and we absolutely want to make that right. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough information in your review for me to locate your account. At that price point, it’s absolutely reasonable to expect the shoes to hold up much longer, and issues like interior heel wear, stitching failure, and separation around the sole would understandably be frustrating. UPDATE 5/18: After reviewing the order, we found these boots were purchased in January 2025, making them nearly a year and a half old rather than under a year old. While we do offer a 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects, this pair falls well outside that coverage period, so we’re unfortunately unable to replace them under warranty. That said, we still wanted to help. We completely understand why receiving two left shoes in different sizes would be incredibly frustrating, especially after spending time researching and choosing shoes for long shifts on concrete floors. That’s a very strange and disappointing situation, and we’re truly sorry that happened. After reviewing our records and listening to the phone call with our GURU team, we do want to clarify a few details about how the situation was handled. The original plan during the call was to process an exchange for you. However, once it was discovered that the specific size you needed was out of stock, our GURU offered alternatives, including a different color option or a refund. At that point, you chose the refund option. You were asked to send photos of the mismatched shoes so we could document the issue properly, and once those photos were received, the refund was issued the very same day, within about 20 minutes of the call. We also did not require you to return the incorrect shoes. We absolutely understand your disappointment that the style you originally wanted is currently unavailable. As an additional gesture, we’ve added $30 in KURU Cash to your account that can be used toward a future purchase if you decide to give us another try. You can also sign up on our website for an email notification when that style comes back in stock. I am so sorry to hear your feet are feeling worse. That is definitely not the experience we want for you, especially after already dealing with sore feet. With KURU’s support, if the arch support feels in the wrong spot, this indicates a wrong size. Too far back means you probably need a longer shoe. From there, there can be an adjustment period as your feet and muscles get used to a new level of structure and alignment. Sometimes that can cause temporary soreness, especially in the first few weeks, as your body starts using muscles it is not used to engaging. We typically recommend easing into wear for a few hours at a time and gradually increasing over a couple of weeks to help with that transition. That said, if things are not improving after consistent wear, it may be that this particular style is not the right fit for your foot shape or support needs. You are still covered by our 91-day return and exchange window, so you are absolutely welcome to send them back or try a different style. When you realize a sizing mistake right after placing an order, it’s completely understandable to want that corrected immediately, and I can see why this experience has been disappointing. Based on the order timestamp of 11:54 a.m. on 4/27 and the chat request that came through at 4:21 a.m. on 4/28, the cancellation request was received outside of our cancellation window. We generally have about a 20-minute window to cancel orders before they move into processing. Most of the time, our fast fulfillment is a benefit, though in situations like this it can make changes more difficult. I do see that a return has already been set up for the package, and in your email interaction, you mentioned you plan to refuse delivery and have it returned to sender, which is absolutely fine if that is your preferred option. Unfortunately, without matching account information such as the original email address, order number, or payment details, we have not been able to verify the original purchase or determine what resolution may have already been completed at that time. Since you also do not have any photos of the shoes, and you don't have the shoes in your possession, we aren't able to verify that the shoes in question were from KURU at all. When a matter is raised this long after the original transaction, it can be very difficult to accurately investigate and resolve, especially when key account details are unavailable.
