Very good program

I started MyDiabetes.diet because my doctor indicated if I could lose about 25 more pounds, I would be able to considerably cut down on my medication with the high likelihood of being completely off of them. Since starting, I am amazed at how good everything tastes! I thought I would have to choke down the food, but on the contrary, I can't wait for the next meal. The meals are easy to make, and you are really filled up, with no hunger. My sleep is better, and my energy is up a great deal! Thoroughly excited to keep going down this trail!

I have been enjoying the diet! My husband is a diabetic also and he follows it also. Does he need to need to get his own diet, or is it ok for him to follow mine?

This application was fantastic. The first 2 weeks were great and Jim, the one with diabetes, lost 10 pounds and his sugar dropped from 175 to 111. His doctor was thrilled and even took him off of one of his meds. As we approached the 3rd week, suggested dinners didn’t look appetizing! I’d love for programers to give consumers a "search recipe” with the food we have on hand. I found myself “skipping” meals on the plan because even the changes were not something I could cook because I didn’t have ingredients. Example: I have Salmon on hand. Allow consumers to go to a search and put “Salmon” in the search. Then list all of the salmon recipes that you suggest. I hope this makes sense. This week of food looked unappetizing. I wanted to put in “Chicken” and see some recipes. Thank you for allowing this family to learn how to eat properly with diabetes 2. Jim is encouraged, motivated and so excited for his weight loss. Clothes are fitting better and he’s excited. My diabetes app is the best app for this family and we appreciate all of you for training me to be a better cook for my hubby of 45 years. Sincerely,BB

With Type 1 diabetes, you need some flexibility to accommodate highs, lows, exercise, illness, etc. This plan is very rigid and the app doesn't allow you to input any other relevant tracking information like treating a low, extra calories or foods you had to eat. You can only do their workouts and can't input any other activities you might have completed. I like a few of the recipies though.

I was not consistent in meeting my daily walking goals nor on water intake, but I think I made progress on both.

I think you should ask more questions regarding preferences so when creating the meal plan it has the person's likes and dislikes in mind. For example, I may like fish but the created monthly plan doesn't have to contain more that 30 meals or snacks with fish. Also, you should start creating a meal plan with regular things you would find generally in a pantry. For example, couscous, buckwheat porridge, sunflower seed butter, tofu (I truly dislike tofu yet there's a ton of meals with tofu). Meals, especially breakfasts, lunches and snacks should be quick and easy for example, 20 minutes to prepare an evening snack? (e.i. smoked tofy and broccoli salad). In addition, when I want to print out my weekly or monthly plan, give me a 1 pager (not 26 pages with all the recipes) for example, a monthly calendar page where on each day you have a quick view of what you will eat that specific day and for every other day of the month. I was really disappointed with the fact that My Diabetes keeps advertising a one pager with what to eat, what not to eat and what to eat in moderation for quick and easy reference. I have not found that page anywhere so I could print and always use as a reminder/reference. So far, eventhough I did my research I just feel that I spent a lot of money for something I hardly use because it does not work for me.

Hello Francoise, we are sorry to hear that our meal plan was not completely satisfying and didn’t meet your expectations.
