If I could give amazon negative stars, I would. Several months back I created a KDP account, created a couple of books which were reviewed and approved by amazon, both my books went live as approved by amazon once more. I even ordered several author copies for myself which of course I had to pay for and all copies were mailed to me. As soon as I received my last copy, I went to sign on to my KDP account to only not be able to see any of my books but all I could see when I logged in was "This account has been closed". I was in shocked and decided to email them and apparently I received an email that if you do your research, a lot of people have been getting. I will paste it below so you can see. Hello, During a recent audit of your account, we found content and/or activities that are in violation of our Terms and Conditions. Therefore, we are closing your account effective immediately. Examples include attempting to publish books that violate our Content Guidelines. As part of the termination process: • We will close your KDP account • You're no longer eligible to receive any outstanding royalties • You'll no longer have access to your account. This includes, editing your titles, viewing your reports and accessing any other information within your account • All of your published titles will be removed from sale on Amazon Additionally, as per our Terms and Conditions, you aren't allowed to open any new KDP accounts. If you believe you have received this message in error or you have information about your account that you would like us to consider, please reply to this email. Regards, Amazon KDP I emailed them and this is the response I received, mind you, this is the response after my book had been APPROVED by amazon and gone live. Hello, Thank you for your email concerning the status of your account. Upon further review, we are upholding our previous decision to close your account and remove all your books from sale on Amazon. Please note that, per our Terms and Conditions, you are not permitted to open new accounts and will not receive future royalty payments from additional accounts created. If you have questions or believe you've received this email in error, reply to this message. Regards, Amazon KDP Thank you, I emailed them this information on 3/22/23 and they emailed me back the following day. I'm extremely disappointed with amazon after all the hard work that I did to make these books come to life. Just to go off topic a little bit, I also opened their credit card some years back and they closed my credit card without notifying me, mind you I have excellent credit and always pay head of time, if not, pay all of my credit card off every month. I was thrown off but left it alone since I didn't need the credit card and now this comes up. And I've read that this has happened to other people with excellent credit that opened an amazon card. On another note, I bought anything and everything on amazon constantly, have subscriptions with products for them for years. It was my go to place. Well, I'm cancelling all of my subscriptions and will not order from them anymore. I will support other businesses that want to do better and honest business. I would not recommend dealing with anything on amazon.

I have not signed in my KDP for quite some time. When I tried signing in, it automatically sends me to a page to put an OTC (One Time Code) in to access my account. But, it sends it to my old number, obviously of which I do not have access. The system keeps looping me back to this page no matter what I do. No number to contact them. I called Kindle. They can't help. They can't even understand what I need since I keep getting routed offshore to someone who "parrots" a phone script. I wasted over 2 hours of my day trying to update my phone number in KDP. I have no way of taking my book off of Amazon if I wanted to. ALL I NEED TO DO IS UPDATE MY PHONE NUMBER IN KDP!!!

KDP has been terminating massively publisher's accounts in error by their faulty AI Bot. There is no explanation on their side or contact with someone else than a Bot. They don't want to explain what happened just closing the account instead. When I asked for an explanation they said I manipulated services (which is not true and they don't have any proof) and "cannot offer any more details about it". So they closed my account, took my 5000£ in royalties, and don't want to explain what happened. I appealed many times saying that this must be an error and tried to explain myself but they don't even reply... I sent an email with the official complaint- again no reply. They steal the publisher's money without any explanation or contact on their side. KDP used to be a good platform but now is rubbish... So many publishers have been banned in Feb and March and KDP just took our outstanding royalties and charged us for ADS. Horrible!!

loved it; easy to use, the only downside is i could not upload the cover for the book i wanted but the team helped me solve it .

KDP terminated my account without telling me exactly what I did wrong for just one of my books; they said I had misleading information but would not tell me what exactly. They refused to pay my royalties and send generic replies to my appeals - stating they are withholding their decision to terminate my account. There is no one to talk to. Advice to potential KDP users - don't create all your books on KDP platform; if they shut down your account, they will remove all your books from the shelf and you may not recover the account back - all the hard work!

The editor posted the book with the wrong title and jacket cover. They know we changed it due to the title being too similar the work if another author. I paid for a marketing package that was not produced. They refused to correct their errors . Now I have to fix it. Out $2500 for zero editing. I would call it a scam!
