Joyous has been a huge source of support for me this summer, and I’m genuinely grateful I found it. This has been a really emotional season of my life. It’s my first summer without my son coming home from college for an extended time to feel at home. After being a single mom and raising him for so many years, having him move to Michigan and only being able to see him occasionally has affected me more deeply than I expected. On top of that, I’ve moved three times this year and have been navigating what it means to enter a completely new chapter of my life. Joyous has given me an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and process so much of what has brought me to this point — from becoming a young single mom, to the different stressors and challenges I’ve experienced throughout my life, to figuring out who I want to be in this next chapter. What I appreciate most is that it hasn’t just given me moments of relief. It has helped me develop more focus and intention around where I want my life to go. I’ve been able to identify goals, reflect on what matters to me, and actually start taking steps toward those goals. Right now, I’m working full-time as a nurse while also going to school full-time, so life is incredibly busy. When I take time for my Joyous treatment, it gives me a chance to pause, reflect, and breathe. For me, those moments of introspection and relief have been incredibly valuable. I know everyone’s experience with ketamine treatment is different, but personally, Joyous has helped me tremendously during a major transition in my life. I’m grateful for the perspective it has given me and for the space it has created to reflect, reset, and move forward.
