For the longest time, I genuinely believed that medication just didn’t work for me. What I’ve come to realize is that it was never about whether medication could help me, but about finding the right treatment for my own healing journey. Since starting ketamine treatment, one of the most meaningful changes I’ve experienced is being able to remember my dreams again. After losing my little sister four years ago, I went years without being able to recall them. Now, I get to see her again in my dreams and actually remember those moments when I wake up. That’s something I can’t even begin to put into words. I’m learning that healing isn’t always about forgetting what hurt you. Sometimes it’s about finding your way back to the beautiful things you thought you’d lost along the way. I’m incredibly grateful that I found Joyous and that I gave myself another chance to discover what healing could look like for me.

My experience with this medication has been a a positive one at the least! It is allowed me to respond to situations rather than react like I used to in certain situations or would take things too probably. It’s allowed me to be more self-aware and to work on changing those, what I would call, not so positive, learned behaviors picked up through dealing with past hurt/trauma during times in my life. I’m excited to see where this journey continues to take me!!
