Ketamine has been life changing for me and Joyous has brought it to patients in a micro dose form that you can take at home rather than an office visit.

My nurse practitioner Laura is excellent, and a great NP is a big part of what makes this program work well. The benefits of ketamine to assist in forming new neuropathways in tandem with meditation and clear intentions has been so valuable to me. I'm loving the progress I'm making with my mental health and Joyous has played a big part in it.

This medication has changed my life. I have suffered severe depression for better than 50 years. I’m 61. I started this medication as last resort. I was in severe grieving for my parents who all died in the span of two years. To say it saved me is not saying enough. I know this will be long term for me and like any other medications I.e. blood pressure etc, it needs to always be available.

I can’t say enough good things about Joyous. From the initial interview process to the telehealth visits with my provider and even the message threads with the care team, my experience with the joyous staff has been nothing short of exceptional. I was skeptical about the medication as a whole because it seemed too good to be true. The care team has walked me through any hurdles I may have encountered and promptly answered any questions I have, from dosage changes to financial aid and everything in between. When doing the daily check ins, (that I assumed no one was actually reading), I would be honest and note if I was not feeling myself or having a difficult time and every time a care team member has always respond within 24 hours with helpful links to meditations, book recommendations and so much other information to help me get back on track. They made it easy for me to communicate if a dosage was not working for me and quickly adjusted accordingly. I’m not on any other medications and I don’t really like being out of my head. So naturally, I was leery of how it would make me feel and if I would be able to function while taking it, like they claimed. Well I’m here to tell you that I’ve not only been able to maintain all of my normal daily routine (work, kids, farm life, hobbies) without side effects, but I’ve seen a huge improvement in my anger and manic outbursts as well as my despairing thoughts and crippling anxiety. My boyfriend and family have also seen tremendous changes in my over all mood and outlook on life. 2024 presented more grief and loss for me than I could handle and now as we close the doors to a year of hell for me, I can genuinely say i have a much fresher, healthier, positive mindset to welcome 2025 with my chin up and excited for what new opportunities are ahead of me.
