I'm sure there are great providers, and I'm happy many people are getting the help they need, but it's such a gamble as a self-pay client. My provider was sweet, but spent the appointment talking about my family history and an unrelated condition, rather than my priorities (perimenopause and weight gain). And, despite the site stating that you can talk about all your concerns, you cannot. Whichever you choose as the first priority becomes the only thing that's "addressed," and to discuss the other, you have to make another "first" appointment for a "new concern," which means another $250 charge. This feels so predatory towards people who are desperate for help and keep hitting walls. The ads and website claim that you'll finally be listened to and get help tailored to your needs, but that was not my experience. Despite repeatedly stating that pregnancy is not a concern for me, the provider insisted on a birth control pill, which is what other providers are always trying to push as well. I felt rushed in the appointment (from spending so much time on irrelevant topics) and completely unheard and my concerns not fully acknowledged. I tried to follow up with customer service, but was told they had no record of me as a client and that I should message the provider. I tried multiple times to message the provider as instructed (not because I personally wanted to reach her), but repeatedly got error messages and couldn't send any messages. I again followed up with customer service, and they again said I didn't have my portal set up, even though I had been using it for the appointment and messaging attempts. They then deleted my portal account, and said that they couldn't help me because "care was provided." But they sure could find ALL my information to collect the $250 for the pointless appointment! While I'm sure there are decent providers and it might be worth multiple appointments if you have insurance and a reasonable copay, I would stay far away as a self-pay client.

I'm going through menopause in my mid-20s, and I've seen a variety of other providers who either refused to treat me adequately because they were ignorant about premature menopause or couldn't prescribe some medications I need. I've been completely nonfunctional for over a year, to the point where I struggle to get out of bed. One supposed specialist told me the textbook menopause symptoms I'm having on what is widely accepted to be a too-low dose of estrogen for POI were "a mental health thing." My provider at Midi was so, so sweet and actually wanted to treat me!!! She prescribed something that will hopefully help, and she's going to raise my hormones until they're adequate and I can actually function. This is the first time since having my ovaries removed that I've actually had hope of getting treated properly. I'm really looking forward to my next appointment.

My clinician was incredibly understanding of my health concerns. It was a night and day experience from dealing with my gynecologist. I didn’t have to go back to my gyno and argue with her about needing something to help me with my symptoms. My first go of telling my gyno about my health concerns was enough of a headache. Given my gyno performed my hysterectomy earlier this year, I would’ve expected more understanding from her about how my body is changing and my hormones are out of whack, but all she suggested was lab work and vitamins. Weeks later my depression was at an all time low and my body was experiencing hormonal acne in a way I haven’t experienced since I was a teenager. On the flip side, speaking to my MIDI clinician was a breath of fresh air, she was so understanding and caring about all my symptoms and health history. She was knowledgeable and informative. I’m just so glad I found MIDI and decided to take a chance.

My doctor Rachel was amazing, she is the first doctor in a long time to make me feel heard, she listened and gave me a plan to help me start feeling better. I trust her judgement and she was kind, informative and proactive! Best doctors visit in a very long time

I’ve been in surgical menopause for 12 years and have never been able to get the care I needed. Within 24 hrs of signing up I had exactly what I needed, Shannon the NP I saw was so great and explained the differences in what I needed and why. It felt like talking with a wise and knowledgeable friend who really wanted to utilize their expertise to help me. I am very grateful and MIDI has definitely won me over, it’s simple, straightforward care.

I had a terrible experience with Midi Health. The practitioner spent probably less than 10 minutes with me. She was dismissive of my concerns. She was completely unknowledgeable about the newest research related to how the women’s health initiative has been debunked. She was unwilling to help me and then I got a $230 charge in the mail. I called Midi Health to voice my concerns and my dissatisfaction with the services. I was completely blown off and just told to pay the $230. I would never use this company again and I feel that it’s a scam. Avoid Midi Health! Nothing but a money grab.

I tried Midi Health in order to get help with menopause symptoms that I was having. I wasn't impressed by the healthcare professional at all. Seemed very matter of fact just going through the motions put in a prescription for me which I never received due to back order. The health professional never contacted me back regarding my symptoms etc. I just don't think it's a helpful service unless you just want a prescription ordered.
