Our experience has been that some of the CSR's know how to respond to request and others DON"T. Our biggest beef with Inogen is the fact that they cannot put a 90 degree fitting on their portable units. Not having this causes the canula to bend and restrict the flow of O2. I have gotten a spring to go over the canula to extend it out further and it helps in not causing it to bend. The Inogen Home works great. When we fly to visit our daughter in NY, I have to put it in a carry on baggage in the overhead. This was a service that Inogen used to supply years ago, now it creates a problem for us as to the other medical equiptment that my wife needs to survive plus the medication. As a result we travel with 3 carry on luggage, and my wife in a wheel chair and me luging 2 bags and the person with the wheel chair pushing my wife with one hand and the 3rd carry on in the other between flights. I said to my wife that I went thru 4 stress test on the last trip.Would make a lot easier not to carry the Inogen Home if Inogen would provide one at our destination as they did at one time. You have a good product, but every once in a while you shoot yourself in the foot .

Is this about the unit itself or the company? This question is not clear. Decent treatment and little friction sounds like it pertains to the company, not the unit. So, my response is about the unit. Other than the unit being quite expensive, I don't have anything negative about the transaction or the representative. The unit is compact and lightweight, but very noisy. I don't know why I assumed it would be quiet, but I did. With the panel lights flashing and the swishing, popping noise it can't be used in a movie theatre, quiet restaurant, museum, library, waiting room or any place where "quiet" is expected and desired. It arrived with a piece of dirt or other substance under the display. It is annoying, but not worth the trouble, cost, or effort to return to Inogen for replacement. Their quality control folks should have caught it before sending it to me. The carrying strap broke within 3 months of receiving the unit and I believe it to be a defect. The little metal latch to connect the strap to the unit is made of what we always called "pot metal". Just lifting it to place it in the car snapped the little latch. The latch should be made of better quality material if it is designed to carry the unit. If both latches had broken at the same time, the unit would have fallen to the ground and damaged this $3200 piece of equipment. I have asked for a replacement strap and believe I should get it since I paid an extra $1000 for a lifetime warranty.

I have a question. I use the smaller of the 2 batteries every few days -- keeping it plugged into the wall in between uses. I never use the larger battery. Is it still usable? I have no way to charge it since the smaller one is always using the charge.

Patricia, If the unit is plugged into the wall, the battery will charge while using it. You should alternate battery usage frequently. Once a battery is charged, you do not need to continuously charge it until it is depleted.

Some activities were getting a bit difficult as I would get so winded. I saw an advertisement for Inogen and gave them a call. I am so happy that I did! Whenever I'm going for a walk with my dogs, or strolling around so many of the cute little towns in Texas, or going on a cruise and need it for especially for my nightly oxygen, I have it with me and it makes breathing so much easier for me. I just wish it were a continual flow of oxygen instead of the puff. Either way, it has made a tremendous difference in my quality of life! Thank you Inogen!

I love my Inogen One G3. It eliminated the need for me to take my big o2 concentrator to hotel rooms on trips.

I love my Inogen! It is so much easier than using tanks and it really frees me up for activities like walking the beach. It has made traveling so much easier for me. Inogen is responsive and they are amazing about backing their lifetime warranty. I am so glad I bit the bullet! My family is no longer uncomfortable by me dragging along heavy equipment and they see that it is easier for me.
