My 96 year old Mother needed a portable oxygen unit, my friends Father had a Inogen and just loved it. So I placed an order to get my Mother a unit of her own. The lady I worked with at Inogen was very nice and helpful in guiding me to get the correct unit for my Mother. The part I liked best about the Inogen is that the battery life for my Mother is 8 to 12 hours, depending on setting for oxygen. The second thing I liked about the Inogen was you charge your extra battery on an external charger. Many I looked at you had to charge the battery in the unit. I did order a second battery so one can charge while using the other. I would recommend anyone looking for a portable unit to seriously consider a Inogen unit. My customer service lady was in contact with me while I was waiting to receive the unit and then helped me set up the unit before I dropped it off by my Mother. Once I had the unit she went over everything I needed to know about the unit and told me if I had any questions down the road to just call. I was very happy with the personal service they gave me and the unit is working just great for my Mother. She has had it since March 2020.

Inogen One G-3: Worth Doubling Down On
I have two Inogen One G3 Portable Oxygen Concentrators, one paid for by Medicare, and serviced and maintained by Apria Healthcare for the past two years, the other recently purchased outright as a backup unit, to be serviced by Inogen. My original choice was made after a comprehensive review of available alternatives and conversations with other users. The Inogen stood out for its convenient size, range of Oxygen output and overall ease of use,
I decided to buy an identical G3 for three primary reasons. In the first place, I have very severe COPD and have been recommended to use supplemental Oxygen 24/7. I use the G3 during the day and, with the assistance of additional batteries and charging devices (which I also purchased), this wonderfully portable unit allows me to get out and about, drive my car, and (pre-COVID) go to the store, to concerts and to virtually anywhere else with only minor inconvenience. Having a second unit gives me the assurance that in the event one needs repair, the other would allow me to continue my normal activities. (A console floor unit provides a continuous O2 flow overnight, and could also be used as a stand-in, but without the mobility provided by a portable.)
The second reason for purchasing another Inogen One G3 is my overall satisfaction with this machine. It is sturdy and well-designed reliably to deliver Oxygen pulses at various levels of concentration over a reasonably long period of time in battery mode, and indefinitely when used with external power. The batteries themselves are easily removed and recharged by way of an accessory charger, or, when they are actively powering the unit, either by way of a supplied charger, or with an accessory charger that can be plugged into a DC power source, like in a car. Alternative carrying cases and backpacks provide for good mobility without great weight, and alternative, larger batteries provide for more extended use.
The third reason for purchasing another G3, rather than a different model, is implied above: Inogen gives me an integrated system in which accessories and batteries can be used interchangeably with either unit. Coupled with the fact that Inogen itself has proven to be a reliable, customer-oriented company, I had no reason to try anything else -- although, if I were getting my first portable oxygen concentrator, I would be inclined to start with and probably duplicate an Inogen One G-5!

Security
The Inogen unit gives everyone in the family a sense of security. They know I have oxygen at my fingertips, if needed. The only problem I’ve had is getting used to “wearing it”. And I know that will get better as I get use to it. The help I’ve received from the staff has been stellar!!

This Inogen G5 that I bought is sure a…fine little unit.
This Inogen G5 that I bought is sure a lot better than the previous POC I purchased where I was always having some kind of problem and having to send it in to be repaired. So far the Inogen G5 has performed flawlessly. Had some trouble with the blue tooth hookup but finally decided not to use it as it was too much trouble. Your help desk stayed with me for two days trying to fix the problem but to no avail.
We had to evacuate because of a tropical storm, we did not evacuate because of the storm but to the possibility of a power loss and when our electric company called to say that due to Covid 19, repairs would take a little while, so we left and the unit worked fine in the car, my wife was very comfortable with it and it performed well for the next 3 days. We are very happy with the G5.

Need a back up light
I love my Inogen! The only thing I would recommend is a screen that
Illuminates after it’s running. I need to adjust my oxygen levels sometimes and it’s hard to see what level it’s on in the dark.
