Update on "I would give Hugterra no stars if that…
I just received a response from Hugterra wherein they effectively admit the misleading nature of the refund policy stated on their customer support page where the only address noted for their place of business D is in Lewes, Delaware. The company deceitfully offered my a 70% refund and also "kindly asked" me to consider taking down my review on Trust Pilot. When I accepted the 70% refund offer and promised I said I would take down my initial review after the credit posted to my credit card, I received a reply stating that the company need me to take down the review first and screen shot my "new" review and send it to them. That would then be forwarded to the appropriate department to determine if my new posted review qualified for any refund. I do not want this Hugterra product because it is very cheaply made (I've recently learned in China, not Belgium where the company surprisingly informs customers their returns for any refund must be sent AFTER STATING THAT THERE IS A 60 guaranteed refund if the customer is not satisfied with their product and then lists on the refund policy page of their website the Lewes Delaware address as the address for the company's place of business. Again, I would give Hugterra no stars if that was an option. It is very cheaply made and operates like a piece of junk. The neck massager does NOT work to alleviate nerve pain in the neck as the company advertises, to the contrary, it greatly exacerbated my pain. To reiterate, I immediately emailed customer support to start the return process as they directed expecting at most to be given a return authorization code to note on the return. I was stunned to be informed that I would have to "return" the neck massager to a "Returns Warehouse" in Belgium at "great expense" to me. (Italicized words are Hugterra's) The company offered a 30% refund, allowing me to keep the massager - "perhaps you can gift it". Then a 50% refund. I did not have a chance to reply to these emailed offers from the company so I don't know how sincere and honest they would have proved to be. However, as soon as Hugterra saw my review on Trust Pilot I received the misleading offer to refund me 70% with no contingency or requirements set forth; only Hugterra "kindly requests you (I) consider taking down your (my) review." Again, the Customer Care/Refund Policy on the company's website, which I checked prior to ordering, listed the company's business address as 16192 Coastal Hwy, Lewes, Delaware, 19958. I never imagined the 60 guaranteed refund would require me to ship the product to Belgium "at great expense". This surprise requirement smacks of a deceptive business practice, resulting in the consumer being mislead and deceived as to the return/refund policy and ultimately being defrauded and cheated out of the purchase price of the product by Hugterra. When a company has to engage in these sorts of practices to unload their product, they have no product worth paying for.

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience with both the product and the return process—it’s clear we’ve fallen short of your expectations, and we truly regret the frustration this has caused. We understand that returns can come as an unexpected inconvenience, and we’ll be reviewing how we can make this clearer on our website to avoid any confusion in the future. Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we will use it to improve our processes and communication going forward. Please know that your concerns have been noted, and we will work on making the return policy and product details more transparent for our customers.
