BEWARE SMALL BUSINESSES!
UPDATED REVIEW!!!! Once again, Housecall Pro's payment processing system has failed us, holding funds with no resolution in sight. The app still lacks the option for customers to provide necessary information to prevent these holds, and transactions over $100 continue to be flagged without reason. While the app itself has helpful features, the processing system is unreliable, causing significant disruptions in our business operations. In response to the representative replying here, I must point out that I have spoken with managers on multiple occasions, only to receive the same scripted responses. This approach adds to the frustration, as it appears customer support is more focused on repeating a script than addressing real concerns. If Housecall Pro is willing to take genuine steps to accommodate these issues with meaningful changes to both its service and financial practices, I’m open to discussing potential solutions. However, until there’s a true commitment to improvement, I would advise prospective users to carefully evaluate this service, especially if reliable processing and responsive support are priorities. . . . This company has terrible customer service. It’s all roses and daisies in the beginning when they’re trying to lock you into an account, but when you actually need support, they are slow to respond. Here’s an issue my company is currently dealing with: When processing transactions, if you don’t get the customer’s full name (understandable) and their full billing address (sketchy), you’re in trouble. Where have you ever been required to provide a full billing address when paying with a card in person? That’s usually only necessary when paying online. What really blows my mind is that House Pro hasn’t made it a requirement to input the full billing address when using a card on their platform. So, if you randomly get flagged—which has happened to us three times in a row now—you end up having to call a customer weeks after a job, hoping they get back to you with their full address. Their problem becomes ours because House Pro doesn’t require customers to input their full billing address. And while you’re desperately trying to gather this info, House Pro freezes ALL the MONEY you’ve earned, not just the problematic invoices. My company went a week with our funds frozen, only for them to turn around and freeze my account again because another ticket was randomly selected. This company has left a bad taste in my mouth. To be fair, the app is user-friendly and easy to use, but the customer service and lack of common sense in not having an option for customers to input their billing info is a major issue. Small business owners like us shouldn’t have to suffer when your company holds all of our money. This is just bad policy. I’ll update you all if they do anything to address these frustrations. It’s baffling that this system lacks such a basic feature, especially since their financial partner flags transactions without it. I’m not impressed. Let’s see if House Pro reaches out or stays quiet. SMH, let’s do better.
