i have never heard of a hotel doing prepayment and then when i ended up cancelling after about 10 mins of making my reservation...it says i have to wait 30 days to get my refund! there is no phone number to talk to someone directly. we stay in hotels every week and never have i ever experienced such an experience of this. I want my money back ASAP!!!
Response from HotelReservations.comJul 7, 2014
Hello, Melody. Thank you for your comments. Online booking sites generally require full payment at the time of booking, so this is not unique to us. Also, you misread the statement regarding 30 days. It states that it may take up to 30 days to appear on your monthly statement, which of course depends on your billing cycle. However, the funds are refunded immediately and can be seen in the current activity area of your online statement. Hope that helps. If you need further assistance, please contact [email protected]. My first hand experience was very good and I felt that they were efficient and I was pleased with the customer service. But, today i was contacted within 24 hours that my debit car/credit card that I have had for 14 years was compromised and they had canceled my card and I could not use it for 3 to 5 days until I receive my new card. I am troubled by this website.

Hello, MYOB. Sorry that your credit card issue may have coincided with your booking online. All of our customer data is fully encrypted with the highest of security measures available, and we do not store any credit card information on our servers. Hope you got the situation resolved and that we can help with future bookings. HotelReservations.com TEAM

Janet
I wanted to request a room near the elevator & to choose only 1 guest, but I never saw a place to do that. I had to call customer service in order to request the room and they could not guarantee that. I didn't like the idea that as soon as I opened the location website it automatically went to this booking site.
Response from HotelReservations.comJul 7, 2014
Thanks, Janet. We appreciate your feedback. Specific room location requests have to be completed after the booking is made and directly with the property. Most of the time, the hotel is unable to guarantee these types of requests, but they certainly do their best to accommodate them. Hopefully we can help with your future hotel bookings.
