The overall experience was generally…
The overall experience was generally positive. The area that drops them to two stars is what they actually cover in terms of costs. They don't have vendors in which they work with in our area (we live in a major metropolitan area) so we had to find our own repair vendor. After having them out, we were quoted a cost of $850 to repair our broken AC unit to band-aid fix it (aka, just get it running again). We called in as we were told to and they talked to the repair person. After all conversations, this warranty group only covered $150 of the $850 repair. Their reasoning why was because they is all the part would cost per their records and for vendors they contract with. Great, then have people you contract with in our area, or be expected to cover more of the costs. At this point, we are looking to drop our coverage. It isn't worth it. When our water heater was draining water onto our basement floor, they wouldn't cover anything cause technically the unit still worked, having an inch wide leak that was trying to flood our basement, didn't make it inoperable.
