Their current commercial states “no hidden charges.” NOT TRUE! I have over a $1200 lab work bill which is now in collections. I have made multiple attempts, and spoke with Oscar reps, with absolutely no success. I’m very disappointed. Especially, because I’m very protective of my credit, and I have a high score. Never been late on anything. They will probably get on here, and reply with a sorry, and still leave me with the bill. Sorry doesn’t pay bills. If they pay it, I return on here and post it, but I doubt they will. I’m stuck with a bill.

Doctors take weeks, even months to get an appointment. Mental health farmed out to Optum, of whose counselors have questionable ethics and own personal problems. Optum have to wade through more online mess to get an appointment. Rates rose in 2022, but benefits cut! Customer service responds with a lot of gobblygook words without getting a direct answer. Changing health insurance this year.

Constantly charging full price when I see the primary's nurse practitioner, AND charged me for September and I cancelled in August. It shows cancelled. Yet they charged me and it's been a week and they refuse to refund me. They give me the runaround on the phone telling me the payment hasn't processed even though it has through my bank and they have my money. 183.00 is a lot of money to just take and not give back.

You don't really know what you've got in an insurer until you need them. Well, now I know. I needed to find a primary care physician that accepted Oscar, so I used Oscar's site as a starting point. I'd find a doctor that Oscar listed as accepting new patients, then call the doctor to make an appointment, and they'd be like, "there's no doctor with that name here". It happened multiple times, so I abandoned Oscar's site and found a doc on my own. I go see said doctor, and he writes me a prescription for a pill that I need to take twice a day. The pharmacy submits it to Oscar, and they're like "no, we'll only approve it for once a day". But here's the best part - the prescription Oscar would not approve was for TWELVE DOLLARS AND NINETY ONE CENTS. So I paid for it myself without their approval. And I'm paying Oscar like twenty thousand dollars a year for coverage that basically makes me pay for everything out of pocket. In short, I'm not impressed.

I had to go to the ER for a stomach emergency (cost of $900) and it's been OVER 9 MONTHS that I haven't been reimbursed (yes, it is supposed to be covered under my plan). Every single time I call Oscar to try to fix it, they say "Ok your claim has been submitted." or "Ok your claim has been escalated". I then check in 2 weeks later and the staff tell me "someone has cancelled your claim". Worst health insurance experience ever, just cancelled my membership today and wanted to spread the word so other people don't fall victim to this run-around scheme. You'll end up paying for your own medical bills, on top of paying for health insurance

Been trying to get my prescription for about a month now. No end in site. Endless hoops to jump through.

My experience with an insurance company couldn't be worse. I never had insurance with such vague EOB and unreasonable way to proceed claims. I have claims as old as early March to that their patient amounts keep changing and processing again again and keep changing! Months of follow up with Oscar had no result. I even put a review for Oscar before and here is the Oscar comment on my review: " our team would like to learn more about what may have occurred. Please check your inbox for a followup message." Yet they never contacted me and all my follow ups had absolutely no results up to this date. I have an stressful risky pregnancy and Oscar made everything more difficult by adding lots of stress to the medical process. Very very disappointing insurance.

The worst health insurance company ever!! I had Oscar for 2 years, I am very healthy and I didn’t visit any doctor in the first year but when lockdown came I got depressed, insomnia, sleep apnea than suddenly I got a panic attack around 1 am. I called oscar for advice but the guy sent me an ambulance although I forbidden him. The ambulance came they were also extremely rude, they cared more about my mask than me that I could hardly breathe and took me to cedar Sinai hospital which is 10 minutes walk from my home!! I could have walked there!!! Than I got an injection, some exams than the bill was about 1000 dollars plus labor costs. I did not pay, I could negotiate with the price so I finally paid 200. But some months later I got the ambulance bill of 2500 dollars!! First Oscar said that I have to pay 600 than after 6 months they said that I have to pay full amount! Than the bill went to collector so now I must pay 3000!! Both oscar and the ambulance company are scammers, they want us to get broke, than become homeless with outrageous bills!!! I never wanted ambulance service!!!! They sent me without my permission!!!! So I canceled my health insurance and I don’t have any!! Since than I am healthy, I don’t go to any doctor!!! F… you all scammers!!!!
