The safety switch was is backwards from what I thought it supposed to be so I gave them a bad review and then I called him and they straightened me out and everything turned out great. She was very pleasant and very wanting to make sure I had it right so I appreciate it. Sorry about the bad first one that was me jumping to conclusions, have a nice day and thank you

We purchased the AIIROP pepper gel weapon and tested it using the trainer cartridges. The unit fired, however, of the four trainers deployed (two cartridges provided with the unit plus two additional cartridges purchased), only three shots fired properly. The other five shots were duds. The CO2 cartridges fired, but the gel seemed to have dried out and only a puff of blue powder was emitted. I haven't tested any active cartridges yet, but hopefully, they will have greater than a 38% success rate. Follow up... Many thanks to Violet at Hero who promptly replaced the failed trainer cartridges. The new cartridges worked perfectly. Changed rating to 5 stars. Thank you!

I have both the pepperball launcher and the AIRO pepper spray launcher. I would say make sure to get several practice cartridges for each as neither unit fires straight at aiming point, they are both slightly off point of aim. Make sure you know how your unit fires so you dont get surprised if you ever have to use it. Aside from that I'd like to see a reloadable option for pepperball gun aside from the simple 2 shot cartridge. As it stands youd have to carry multiple cartridges to get 5 or 6 shots. If HERO could develp a reloadable multishot version like all their competitors that would be a big seller.

Thanks for your feedback! We do encourage everyone to review our free online training before they practice since our devices do work and aim a bit differently than traditional firearms. HERO 2020 lets you point your finger at the target to aim, while AIIRO allows you to point with your thumb. With a little practice it's very intuitive and simple. When it comes to projectiles, other companies make up for their lack of quality (rounds that fail to break) with more quantity. We don't believe that's protection you can rely on! So we've developed the latest advancement in non-lethal projectile design, using specialized materials and molds to ensure every ball bursts reliably on impact. With HERO only one shot is needed to disperse irritant and stop attackers in their tracks. Every shot should count when it comes to protecting your life! Product is easy to use and training cartridges provided worked well for the aero model. It was not clear from the advertising that the pepper gel doesn't ship to California. But I do like having a non-lethal option for self protection in public as a CCW is not allowed in many areas of California now

Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify, AIIRO and our gel cartridges are legal to use and can ship to California. It's the irritant based projectiles for HERO 2020 that CA does not allow and we are unable to ship. HERO 2020 is available in CA with our BluntForce kinetic cartridges though!
