My son benefited so much and has made progress.

Amelie Buigne, AMFT, did an excellent job of connecting with my son. She was patient and understanding while validating his feelings and providing tools to help him with a particular situation, but also tools that he can use throughout life.

Based on my recent experience with Hazel Health, I would never recommend their services to anyone. For starters, after completion of onboarding paperwork, I was contacted 2 months later to schedule the initial intake for my child (in the interim I was contacting them to inquire about the extended wait time, but received no assistance other than being told someone would be reaching out to me soon). Upon a representative finally calling me to schedule, I scheduled for what at the time was their soonest appointment (a little over 1 month out). Fast forward to the day before my child’s appointment, I received a notification at 10pm from Ceyonna Lewis, LPC confirming my child’s 10:45am appointment for the following day. The next day I received an email 1 hour before my sons scheduled appt from Nicole Wecker, LCSW-C, informing me that the therapist my child was scheduled to meet with is “unexpectedly out” and the appt is cancelled. She then went on to state if I had questions or concerns to please let her know. I emailed her back within minutes and I was left on “read”. Fast forward to the following day, I received a call from Ceyonna with a “sorry about the cancellation” “apology” and asking if I’d like to reschedule my sons appointment. It’s very apparent that these therapist work from home and have no regard for the behavioral health of students. She did not even have the decency to call from a silent area. There was yelling in the background, noise from a tv..NOTHING about the quality of care/customer service that I received is acceptable. If your child is in need of talk therapy, I suggest you exhaust all your options before signing them up to receive “care” from employees at Hazel Health.

The counselor was very nice. She was very prompt and she was very honest with my children so I appreciate that.

I wanted to see if I can request to change my child’s therapist ? Her current therapist has been late to both sessions with her and canceled the other one. It is obvious to me that she does not take her job as serious as someone who would be able to offer us some form of help and therefore she is not a good fit. She actually even hung up in my face today while trying to discuss the issue with her ! I also work in the healthcare field and I am confident that the clients concerns should always be taken into consideration. She went on to say how the company ( Hazel Health ) swamps all the therapists with kids and they are all so overwhelmed, so I guess that is the excuse she uses to make it okay to provide a child in need with subpar care.I then tried to send a message to her supervisor asking to switch therapist and she deleted it and sent me a message saying that her supervisor won’t be back to work until next week.I think the concept of the program is great but unfortunately the actual care provided is not.

Hi Tanisha, thank you for sharing this. We’re very sorry to hear about your experience—this is not the standard of care we aim to provide, and we’re currently working toward a resolution. A member of our team will be reaching out to you shortly to help with next steps, including changing your child’s therapist. We appreciate your honesty and the opportunity to make this right for you and your child.
