I felt that the techniques and exercises given to my child for anxiety were helpful. Additionally, I think talking every week to the therapist was also great. However, I only talked to the therapist one time during my child’s period of receiving treatment and I asked if any work on grief was being done. The therapist indicated that very little was being talked about in regard to grief, they were only focusing on anxiety. When we completed the intake questions, it was indicated that my child’s father passed away very recently and that grief therapy was one of the things we were seeking help for. Additionally, when the treatment came to an end, I didn’t receive any notice from the therapist other than information for other providers should we decide to continue to pursue receiving care for my child. I received no feedback from the therapist for what they felt next steps should be or any type of close out of my child’s care. I was very disappointed with that. After that, I reached out and left a message through Hazel Health about my concern for no closeout information on my child’s case, and never heard back from the therapist.

Easy to use website and the counselor gave my son good advice on how to improve his mental health.

I am so grateful for my son’s experience with Hazel Health. He had a wonderful therapist, Kuan, who was so patient, kind, compassionate, understanding, and helpful. She made therapy fun, and my son actually looked forward to his sessions with her. He has gained new tools and skills that will help him in life. He uses these new tools and skills frequently and can communicate with us much easier now. I highly recommend using Hazel Health if your child is struggling.

We had a lot of issues scheduling appointments for non school hours and had a lot of change in counselors during the 12 week sessions. I don’t feel that the issues that we shared with the counselors were really addressed. The counselors were very friendly and interacted with our teen well but I felt that they spent a lot of time chatting.

Flexible meeting times, consistent and specifically helpful for my son

The therapist made a great connection with my son, which definitely made a big difference. The results speak for themselves; our teenager has changed a lot, in a good way.

The way things were explained to my son on more of a child’s level he was able to understand more about his possible adhd and better understood coping management.
