If I could leave no stars I would. This is a fraudulent company. BEWARE!!! Even though their website says you can return your purchase for a refund, YOU CAN’T. It’s crap sent from China and their customer service is a bot. They sent me the wrong size pair of boots. The boots were supposed to be suede but they aren’t. “Customer service” is a broken record in email exchanges: “We know how frustrating this is”, “we want to come up with a solution”, “we have to talk to our “supplier”, “ keep the boots and we’ll give you 30% off your next purchase”, “we can offer you a 15% refund and you can keep the boots and pay $14.95 for the shipping”….mind you, THEY SENT THE WRONG SIZE!! Every time I’d respond (like an idiot) that I just wanted a refund, they’d come back with another “solution” that completely disregarded my request for a refund. Don’t let “Los Angeles” in their name fool you….this is nothing but a scam out of China! Fool me once! Btw…my bank is investigating and credited me back what I paid for the crappy, wrong sized boots. Next, the “company” will respond to this review with a stock reply. If you think you are going to order something with the hope of returning if you’re not satisfied….think again!!

I received a sweatshirt from this company. The seams where not straight it had snags and tearing on the seams and they would not give me the money back. Customer service was awful. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! Also they are in China not the US. UPDATE- they act like they will try to help like the comment they made below but they don’t actually help. Stay clear of this company!

I ordered a pair of suede boots and paid $75 for them. They a not suede, are faux, made of poor quality materials, and smell like chemicals. It took weeks to receive them and trying to return them has been a horrendous experience. Everything from offering me a partial refund, store credit, to requiring I pay to have them shipped back to China. Still in the middle of this litigation. Poor customer service response, websites that don't load, and a customer service number that no one answers. Stay clear of this operation.

The item that I ordered didn’t look like the photo on the website. They are cheap and not worth the money that I spent. Also, this item came from China and took over 3 weeks to receive. Will not return as I feel it will never be rectified.

CHEAP! Do NOT be fooled by the images on their website! I just received a pair of "suede" boots in the mail, which took 17 days to arrive (as it turns out, they are not based in Los Angeles, but China). Boots arrived without a box, smell hideously synthetic, and look like something purchased at a swap meet. I immediately requested a refund, was offered a "replacement item," which I declined and again requested a refund. Was then offered a 10% refund or a 50% store credit. Told them to essentially f-off. This is the first negative review I have ever posted about a company--I usually just shrug things off and believe that people are generally doing the best that they can. I couldn't let this one slide, though, as it clearly feels like a scam. Hope I'm saving someone some money!

They say they are a US based company that accepts returns. To make a return you have to ship the item back to China. Which costs more than any item on their site. Do not buy from them. MDSE is cheap

My experience with this company was so far beyond awful, I am struggling to even find the words. Here’s the short version of a three month long saga: you will not be happy with your order from this company as it will not be even close to what you thought you were getting. They will resort to lying, deflecting and even extortion to avoid honoring their posted return/exchange policy. You might eventually get a refund but the harassment and annoyance is not worth it. This company is a scam. Don’t waste your hard earned dollars or sanity on their crap.

Do not buy from this company. They do not honor their return policy, which states that you can return an item within 30 days for a full refund. I tried to return a puffer coat due to poor quality and sizing, and had to jump through multiple hoops, including sending pictures and back-and-forth email exchanges. In the end, they would not provide a refund, only an exchange. The product is of inferior quality, and the return and exchange process is horrible!
