This is the first pet door I have purchased. I liked the selection of sizes and chart recommending size by breed. It seem much sturdier than ones I have seen in pet stores. Not sure what the point of carpeting is. Within days it was full of debris from my dog going in and out. Because it is in garage I am not going to drag a vacuum out to clean it. Flaps drop back in place and seal nicely.

Not only were they very patient and helpful with me while going through the order process, I received the unit and it fit perfectly and works great. Can't even hear through it unless you yell through it.

My experience with Hale Pet Door was perfect. I mistakenly ordered the wrong door. Was able to return it with no problem and get the right door. Customer service was great.

I have purchased several pet doors from Hale since Mr. Hale first started selling them. They really hold up well especially considering that I have had German Shepherds going back and forth through them.

Love the screen door application. Staff was very good to work with. Only gave 4 stars because we had to follow up on a shipping request and found what was promised wasn't happening. They made it right by shipping overnight.

I have cut cat/dog doors into walls in our previous two houses, always framing in the box in the wall myself and adding a flap door outside. What a difference using the Hale tunnel through the wall at this house! Yes, its a little more money, and what I saved in materials and frustration using the Hale more than made up for it. We have 10" thick walls, and it slid in perfectly. The cats adapted to the double flap right away. I can't report on Idaho winters yet, but I can say that with the sun hitting that wall, 100+ degree heat didn't transfer into the garage through the door to any big extent. Also, we had a completely my fault ordering issue with our first door (Remember that the small tunnel may be too small for the average cat), and they exceeded my expectations in working with me. Quick shipping, quality product, great customer relations, and made in the US. What more can you ask for? Don't think twice, buy this door.

Since we got our dog from a rescue listed on their web site we received a $50 discount, and the rescue also received $50. That is such a wonderful thing that they offer. Now on to the door. The installation manual was well written and covered everything I needed to do this myself. The hardest part was cutting through the stucco. The door attached beautifully, and even though it took our dogs a bit of time to get used to it, they are now pros. Everything seems professionally made, no flimsy parts or connections. I can only speak for the In Wall unit, but I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to go this route.
