I bought replacement flaps. The product shipped fast. There were tutorials on the site about how to install. All in all a very positive experience.

I tried installing the dog door myself by following the directions in the pamphlet. It did not work! The clips were not working and did not hold the door in place. I took them out and tried again. It was not a snug fit. The drill bit broke too. Currently, the door is at the hardware store, where hopefully, they can assist in the installation. It's going to cost me, maybe even more than if I hadn't tried to do it myself. I am disappointed. It looked so easy in the video. Maybe if they would have included the right materials........ Who knows? The door itself is good quality. It's a matter of attaching it to my screen door.

I'VE HAD A TALL LARGE HALE PET DOOR FOR 10 YEARS FOR MY IRISH SETTERS. I'VE REPLACED MY OUTSIDE FLAP 5 YRS AGO AND BOTH FLAPS THIS YEAR. WHILE I BELIEVE THE COMPANY IS TOP NOTCH, I HAD A LOT OF DIFFICULTY REPLACING THE MAGNETS AND STRIPS. THE VIDEO SHOWS EASY REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT, BUT THAT'S NOT THE CASE. I WAS SENT ANOTHER SET OF MAGNETS AND STRIPS, BUT I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. FINALLY, I HAD TO USE PLIERS TO PINCH EACH END OF EACH MAGNET AND STRIP. THEN, USING A HEAVY RUBBER MALLET, I FORCEFULLY HAMMERED EACH PIECE IN PLACE. IT WAS NOT AN EASY INSTALL AND SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THAT DIFFICULT. I HOPE THE COMPANY LOOKS INTO THIS PROBLEM AND CHANGES THE THICKNESS OF THEIR MAGNETS AND STRIPS.

I had a little difficulty placing an order online, so I called up, spoke with a human being right away who answered my questions, placed my order, and even replaced the part under warranty and waived shipping. If only every company could operate like this.

Hale was very responsive to all my questions and had great customer service. The screen door unit was easy to install and very sturdy. Tip- Make sure you read and walk through each step prior to making any cuts. It will save you time in the long run.

We've had our Hale pet door for about 13 years. It has been great! We just replaced the flaps & it looks brand new! LIVE it! Highly recommended Hale pet doors!
