Erg vriendelijk geholpen. De mensen die er werkzaam zijn zijn zeer deskundig. Een fijne ervaring, alles duidelijk uitgelegd. Een leuke opbrengst was het gevolg, anderszins ook terecht voor een waardevol stuk. Dank voor deze ervaring

Don’t waste your time registering with these guys if you are not resident in the US. They refused to allow me to place a USD$800 bid until I’d placed a USD$5000 deposit with them. This applies to non-US residents for some auctions and it’s not disclosed until you have already given your identity documents and credit card details.

Thank you for your feedback. We welcome bidders from around the world, and we understand your frustration with being asked to provide a $5,000 deposit to bid on this lot. Certain auctions have additional deposit requirements for international bidders. We agree that any required deposit should be clearly disclosed so clients understand the requirements before completing the qualification process. We appreciate you bringing this experience to our attention.

Issues have come up and Heritage always provides the most satisfactory remedy. Packaging is the best I have seen from any seller. Been buying from them for many, many years, and will continue. The increase in buying commission to 25% is my only complaint. Wish that would go back to 20%.

I have been a customer for a couple decades. Recently, Maryland made a change to its tax law about not collecting sales tax on coin/bullion transactions over $1000. Heritage has decided to continue charging sales tax, except for individual coins that are priced over $1000, which contrary to Maryland law. Even after sending the tax department information from the Maryland Attorney General, the still refused to remove the sales tax on my purchase. It is bad enough that their buyers premiums exceed that of most other auction houses, but their decision to continue collecting sales tax is ludicrous. Every other auction house I deal with, including Ebay has removed the sales tax on these purchases. Heritage has lost me as customer. I will not be back.

Always an excellent experience with Heritage, in particular the service / attention from Rosie and Sophie in the London office - so very very helpful!

I have bought many pieces of entertainment memorabilia from Heritage over the last several years. Items are authentic, and customer service is good. However, on top of the 25% commission they charge (generally higher than most auction houses), the nickel and diming is the problem with Heritage. Their postage rates are very high (running on average about $200 when mail order and Internet sites charge only a fraction of that). They don't take American Express (but will accept Visa/MC and charge a fee for using those credit cards). And the shipping time is much more than what I have experienced with specialty sites or EBay. To respond to your point that shipping occurred the next day as soon as the payment was processed, you are correct. The problem here was that payment was sent directly to your portal on July 23--you didn't process it until August 6. I see no reason for a two week delay in processing payment in today's world. So on top of your winning bid, plan to add another 40-45% to cover the commission, taxes, and postage and expect a time of several weeks (rather than several days) to get your item.

When I called to complain about the customer service. The response was basically that is how they are and they are just too busy I take that to mean they just don't care
