Do not rent from High Point – They kept my security deposit for over 1½ years
I moved out of High Point a year and a half ago. I left the apartment in excellent condition — the staff even told me it was one of the cleanest units they had seen. Despite that, they still have not returned my security deposit.
Since then, every time I follow up I get the same excuses: they’re short-handed, they can’t process the refund, they’re “working on it,” etc. A year and a half is not a processing delay — it’s them keeping money that doesn’t belong to them.
This is completely unacceptable. If they treat a clean move-out and a clear deposit return this way, I can only imagine how they treat residents who stay. Save yourself the headache and the lost money. Look elsewhere.

I lived in three properties managed by…
I lived in three properties managed by them. I don’t know who’s worse where they’re the property managers or the regional managers or I don’t know who cares list. I have been accused of stealing appliances and I required, requested a submitting in writing that I wanted to see all the footage from the days in which I was theoretically accused from stealing appliances and no one responded to me. I didn’t hire a lawyer because I was very sick and I needed to have surgery and also, of course, I don’t need to steal a new appliance and see because those are not cheap. If you had an issue, in any of the properties that I lived, unless the leasing agents that get paid probably $12 per hour care, they will not do anything. The millionaires run in this company have no care. I even tried to contact the executives for many channels. No one ever replied. They will try to overcharge you, even though I got sick in one of their properties from the disgustingly dirty air vents. If I didn’t have these health issues, I would have sue them for millions of dollars because I never ever failed to pay rent and thank God I have my own property now. I hope they are held accountable, but I know that will never happen. if you’re in the hospitality business and the service industry, that’s what you are supposed to do: Serve your customers.

Horrible company that builds walls against paying contractors that they do not disclose up front. Avoid them like the plague.

I’m a resident living in Momento…
I’m a resident living in Momento Barking! I have tried all the methods but it doesn’t work that’s why I posted here.
Terrible choice with terrible noise!
NoiseAbsolutely unacceptable.
The noise here is ridiculous. Loud music and constant disturbances in the car park area around the residential building, including directly underneath residents’ balconies. This is supposed to be a home, not a nightclub.
What makes it worse is the completely inadequate management and security response. Residents complain, yet nothing seems to be done. What exactly are we paying for?
I am furious that I cannot even expect basic peace and quiet in my own home.
Nice-looking building, but terrible management, poor security response, and an unacceptable living environment. Management seriously needs to wake up and start listening to residents.

Serious Pest and Maintenance concerns
In May 2026, I discovered rodent droppings throughout my apartment at Harlowe in Euless, Texas & immediately reported the issue. Multiple pest-control treatments & follow-ups were required, and I documented continued activity after treatments, including fresh droppings & a live rodent. The issue remained under treatment and monitoring for more than a month before management informed me the vendor found no evidence of current rodent activity. Because of health concerns, my family stopped residing there while the issue was addressed. In June, I reported a roof leak that caused visible interior ceiling damage. Contractors came to the property, but more than two months later, the damage was still present when I surrendered the apartment. Management offered penalty-free early termination only if I signed a release agreement containing language representing that I had reviewed it with legal counsel. Because of that & concerns about several provisions, I obtained legal advice. My attorney advised me not to sign it as written because he considered it one-sided, believed it did not adequately protect my interests, & advised I would be giving up rights. I did not reject an agreement. My attorney contacted Greystar & the property owner seeking revisions & a fair resolution. According to my attorney's office, Greystar did not respond. Management also told me in writing that if I did not sign the release, my lease would remain in effect & early termination would be subject to standard terms & fees. I filed a BBB complaint seeking resolution. Greystar repeatedly stated that its legal counsel was involved & requested communications proceed through counsel. However, I was never advised that Greystar's counsel contacted my attorney to negotiate a resolution. With no agreement reached, I followed the standard early-termination process, requiring 60 days' notice and an additional termination charge. I continued paying rent during July & August though my family was no longer residing there. After I surrendered possession, Greystar posted a $3,542 “Lease Cancellation/Termination” charge to my account. I made repeated efforts to resolve this matter while meeting my obligations. I reported the problems, cooperated with treatments and repairs, documented the conditions, obtained legal counsel, continued paying rent, & attempted to negotiate a resolution. Despite Greystar stating that its legal counsel was involved, I was never informed that its counsel contacted my attorney to discuss a resolution.

My Experience With Greystar: Why I’ll Never Rent From Them Again
I wish I could give this company zero stars.
If you are looking for somewhere to live, I would strongly advise you to think twice before renting from Greystar. They may be one of the largest property management companies, but in my personal experience, their treatment of residents has been extremely disappointing.
If you want to find yourself at risk of eviction and potentially without a place to live, then rent from them. They do not seem to care about the circumstances their residents are facing. Their lawyers don’t seem to care either. Missed one month’s rent, or even have a relatively small balance, and you can quickly find yourself facing court.
What is most frustrating is that they would rather allow your balance to continue growing than work with you on a reasonable payment arrangement. Even when you are trying to make a partial payment, it can feel like they would rather refuse it, let the balance accumulate, and move forward with eviction proceedings.
This is how families end up losing their homes.
And it doesn’t stop there. The additional fees, maintenance issues, constant turnover, and lack of consistency can make the entire experience even more frustrating. You never know who is going to show up at your home for maintenance because there always seems to be someone new.
And then there is the security deposit. The process of getting it returned can take an unreasonable amount of time.
I can only speak from my own experience, but I would not recommend Greystar to anyone who is looking for stable, compassionate, and resident-focused housing.
At this point, I’ve decided to focus my energy on becoming a homeowner. Honestly, I’m grateful for one thing: this experience has motivated me even more to work toward owning my own home. I never want my family’s housing security to be completely dependent on a property management company again.
This experience has shown me exactly what I don’t want—and it has given me even more motivation to become a homeowner.

Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience — I would not recommend this property
This has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with a leasing office or property management company. I would strongly encourage anyone considering renting here to stay away and, at the very least, get absolutely everything in writing.
During my application process, there was an issue that the leasing office was aware of. I was told that my application had been approved with conditions and that, because I had a qualified guarantor, I would be able to move forward.
Based on those representations, I paid the required rent and fees, was added to the lease, had my vehicle registered, received access to the property and gate, and was told I could move in and remain at the property.
I initially worked with Phil and Terrio in the leasing office, and they were aware of the situation and the discussions surrounding my approval. I later dealt with Stevie in upper management, and unfortunately, the situation became even more frustrating. After I had already been approved, paid the required amounts, been added to the lease, and received access to the property, I was told that I could no longer remain.
Now, as a result of how this situation has been handled, I am being forced to find another place to live on extremely short notice and potentially pay new application fees, deposits, and moving expenses all over again. This is an enormous inconvenience and financial burden that could have been avoided if the situation had been handled correctly from the beginning.
What makes this especially frustrating is that I have tried to be more than reasonable and resolve this directly with the leasing office. Instead, I have received inconsistent information and a completely different position after I had already relied on what I was originally told.
I have documentation supporting my experience, including communications from the application process. I understand that properties have qualification requirements, but I believe residents should be able to rely on the information provided to them by the leasing office.
This has been the worst rental experience I’ve personally had, and based on my experience, I would not recommend this property. Do not come here without getting absolutely everything in writing and keeping records of every conversation.
I sincerely hope upper management reviews how this situation was handled, because no resident should have to deal with this level of uncertainty after being told they were approved and making housing arrangements based on that approval.
