Lively is dead to me
The device lasted less than a month. The automatic billing did not work. Customer service is non-existent. Can I give it ZERO stars?

I was told I would have to activivate my phone, and that it would be easy. It was very hard, actually impossible, and that it was my fault and I would have to have help. I was not told they no longer sync the phones. They were not terribly friendly. I had enjoyed the ease of using Lively, and found them very supportive. My phone was all over the place, not stable and jumping about unexpectedly. The process they directed was not possible for my skill level, but they rejected the repair process, and I was told it was my responsibility, comparing it to a cars ownership. They ordered me to get help. I’m 88, and not very tech savvy. My daughter is a tech genius, but values her free time and had plans for tomorrow. I won’t trouble her peace. She is a support to me, but works hard enough. I want her to have a break, and they had no compunction in demanding her instant help. I won’t trouble my peace either. At this point I have no plans of further patronage. Yes, I’m out a few bucks probably, and quite disappointed.

Lively Great Call sells peace of mind that the device will detect falls but after three family members used the device over the course of years, we regret that it really does not work as advertised insofar as fall detection. Device updayes are not an automatic and if one calls for customer service, well, there is none with agents that are poorly trained in a noisey call center. Customer communciations are very poor and we only found out that we were still paying for this because the pricing went up and the cc on file had changed.

I am a Lively customer trying to buy a $360 phone upgrade. After being transfered to 5 separate departments I couldn't take it any longer. What kind of company keeps a paying client on hold 5 times for a total of 1 hour and 39 minutes. All I want to do is give Lively money. This business has obviously traded staff members for cost cutting short term greedy profits. All I am try to do is upgrade to a better phone. I have the option of buying the phone from multiple sources but felt some obvious misguided loyalty to Lively. Who in the world would put up with this type of debasing treatment? Not me. I am a level 6 Google guide and my reviews have reached 70,000 views. That's my next stop. This type of business practice is unacceptable. Good luck Lively because you obviously don't deserve my money or another second of my valuable time.

Lively markets itself as a senior friendly device/company for peace of mind and security of senior citizens. It now markets a Gen 3 flip phone which claims to work with a wifi-calling feature. After purchasing two of the upgraded phones (we previously had Gen 2 flips) we learn that the wifi-calling feature does in fact NOT WORK, and THEY KNOW IT!! They claim that a "fix" may be available maybe sometime in September, yet they continue to very unapologetically and shamelessly market and sell these phones. This is all learned after hours on the phone with their "customer service" line where the staff clearly know there is an issue yet can't do anything about it. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I would give it less than 1 star if I could; avoid this company (if you want to call it that); no support!!!

Purchased the Lively emergency button 5/18/26. I had to call the company to help set it up after receiving it 5/25/26. They were very nice. We had the service for 4 days because it consistently showed the wrong location for my mom, which can be a deadly mistake since EMS would go to the wrong location. On 5/29/26 I cancelled the service and sent the equipment back to Best Buy Health return center. Thankfully I tracked it because I did not get a refund. I spoke with Lively again on 7/13/26 about not receiving a refund - again, they were very nice. (I did get the refund minus a $10 restocking fee) Today 8/29/26 I am having to call them again because they continue to bill me $39.80 for the 4 days the service was active. Also just now when I called, I was going to just pay the bill and be done with it so I chose the automated "pay your bill" and when I put in the account number it said "you owe $0, your last payment was April __ 2015 and your next balance will be due July __ 2015"... I don't know what is happening with this company but it has been TERRIBLE!! However.. every time I have spoken to someone on the phone, they have been so nice.. it is not the people, it is the product and the system. IF you get this for your loved one, please make sure it is showing the right location... this could be life or death for your loved one.. and I have little to no confidence in this company after the experience we have had.
