Lively Great Call sells peace of mind that the device will detect falls but after three family members used the device over the course of years, we regret that it really does not work as advertised insofar as fall detection. Device updayes are not an automatic and if one calls for customer service, well, there is none with agents that are poorly trained in a noisey call center. Customer communciations are very poor and we only found out that we were still paying for this because the pricing went up and the cc on file had changed.

I really wanted to like this smartphone and Lively for my mother, who is 86. Less complicated than traditional Android phones, but the slow network, the lack of customer service, especially on the weekends is an issue. I've tried using other location apps and the one from Lively and it doesn't work. It is of great necessity that I know where my mother is, but Lively is NOT IT!

Keep my number is wrong. I had to get a transfer pin from old service so they could transfer the number to their phone. They let the pin expire and I had to get another one. They have still not moved my number over. Poor customer service.

your phone is a joke of a flip phone people cant hear me the battery doesnt last and the text barely works i pay money and get ripped off never again went with verizon much better

Lack of support regarding an issue with my mom's device. Submitted support request online - never received a response. followed up with a call to customer service. Rep was not friendly at all. Waited one week, still no response. Followed up again, Rep was helpful, but I was told the unit had to be replaced, at my cost. I would not have known about the replacement if I hadn't called.

Bought this phone for my elderly brother, thinking that it would be easy to use, but also easy to manage. Easy to manage is not there. Although he has Wi-Fi access, the phone keeps exceeding the five gig cellular data plan. I’ve had him and customer service on the line several times the cellular data has been turned off, but somehow gets turned on again. The problem is, they don’t have any functionality to lock this thing down so people don’t inadvertently cause a problem. In my view that’s a very big issue when you hand technology to someone that can’t manage it. I’ll be terminating the service after getting $300 overage charge.

SERVICE is terrible. Cant get signal for calls and can never get or make calls to my loved one. Lively says its verizon network and its our bad location in Silicon valley!! I have visible through verizon and its pretty darn good. Lively sounds like a computer when you call him and every few words cuts out. Only time it gets adequate cell service is out in the street and seniors cant be going out in the street or sidewalk everytime they want to place or get a call. As far as the Phone interface on the smart 4 jitterbug is good for someone who had health issues and needed to get back into using a phone after months in the hospital. The Iphone was too complicated then. But now he is getting good at this phone, its time to go back to verizon or get an unlocked phone and sign him up with visible. Too bad as LIVELY is thE ONLY carrier that the jitterbug smart is able to be used with. Monopoly over seniors. Phone is ok. CLock and alarm are a nightmare to use and set. But other software interface features are pretty good. Wish we could use another carrier because obviously verizon is giving lively the bottom of the barrel worst possible network they can..

We have been trying to port the number of my 91 year old housemate for the last three weeks. At first they told me the mistake was in their customer service agent who took down the wrong phone number. Now we have to approve all of the account numbers And they are going to send us a new pin member in the mail. This does not make any sense in this day and age. The second Customer Service agent said he would take down my name in order for Clara to get her new phone number and handle her affairs . The customer service agent had no record of that. I understand that AARP recommends the service, but they have been a pain in our ass for the last three weeks!
