More expensive than my local pharmacy
Would have been cheaper to get my meds the traditional way. Waste of time.

When I was at a Walgreens and I didn't…
When I was at a Walgreens and I didn't have coverage for a medication the pharmacist assistant showed me this wonderful app. Forget all the other prescription redemption cards that they try to sell you just open up GoodRx when you're at the pharmacy and look up the medication and just show it to the employee and you're good to go. I first use this three years ago and I told everybody about it.

First One Is Free
My wife has non-small cell, non-smoking lung cancer. We purchased her first script for a little less than $500 at a Safeway (very rude) in Fairfax Va near Centreville. She is at a refill point and now the cost at the Saeway is over a 1000% increase. For the past week the cost at Giant has been a little less than $500. I'm guessing our inquiries have made that cost increase over 1000%. Bait & switch? It's like a drug dealer saying the first one is free--now we got you. So, my experience with Goodrx is pretty rotten.
GoodRx responded to me via FB that they would attempt to get us a manufacturers coupon. Instead they directed me to a GoodRx coupon for Kroger (I don't need that direction, I'm capable of finding it). So, my wife went to Kroger yesterday (2/27/20) and was told the prescription would be ready Saturday. This morning the Kroger pharmacist informed my wife they would not fill the script because it is a specialty drug. GoodRx stated they have that right since it isn't a stocked drug—and, no coupon at a "specialty pharmacy". No pharmacy will give us info without the script. So, we get it filled once and can never get it done again using GoodRx? Gone from 'pay more to no can do'?
I've seen many insane things in my life—this just jumped to first place. Too bad we're not buddies with Doug Hirsch. Then again, if we had millionaire friends, we wouldn't need GoodRx.

GoodRX is very risky
While I have not used GoodRX. I have one medication. That has instructions to the pharmacy. Not to fill the prescription with the generic 'look-a-like'. Because the generic is not effective. I have to get the name-brand. But, While the purpose of GoodRX is fiscally feasible. When it comes to instructions from the doctor. That are specific.. My doctor would have to write multiple letters. Because the pharmacy could potentially be different every time.

Hello Christopher! We apologize for the confusion, and we would recommend having you speak directly with your doctor before searching for coupons on the site! We would also be happy to reach out to your pharmacy after your doctor has sent the prescription over, to ease some confusion!

You can save with some research work.
Two sick seniors here. I have to price check every single prescription, and every refill. Prices change. Pharmacy Benefits Managers move drugs to different tiers. Some drug stores, like Walmart, have a core list of attractively priced generics. They will give you a printout if you ask. We pay for Medicare Drug Plans for both of us, in the event there is no cheaper option. Usually we can do better than our drug plans though. One has to be comfortable with looking up drugs on your plan formulary and understanding the drug tiers.
All that said, I generally pay less using GoodRX coupon paying cash, than using our drug plans. Unless it’s a drug with a specially negotiated price, like some Walmart generics. Or one of the Publix free or low cost generics. It takes time to price check, but since any savings can be put back in the grocery budget, I do the work. I’ve had issues with pharmacists not wanting to honor the coupon price, or being unable to honor it. I simply step away from the counter, call GoodRX, and they call the pharmacy to try to work it out.
Yes, it does take work, but when a person is picking up ten or more prescriptions at a time, for multiple diseases, it’s the only way to afford medications until the US stops this drug pricing madness.

I have read several negative reviews…
I have read several negative reviews and I can tell you my experience has been incredibly GOOD. Only problem was the rx gold did not work at wal mart but the regular rx did. Saved about $630.00!!

GoodRX is the BEST for prescription…
GoodRX is the BEST for prescription discounts. Do NOT use SingleCare. I was provided with a card for SingleCare and GoodRX from my physician to fill prescriptions. Every time I have gone to the pharmacy, the prices for GoodRX have been considerably lower than SingleCare.
I posted a review on here for SingleCare indicating the same and I am now being harassed by SingleCare for posting a negative review. SingleCare wants proof that I used their service or my review will be removed from Trust Pilot. I did NOT use SingleCare because their prices are too high. I use GoodRX - better prices. Sorry but negative reviews deserve to be posted.
